A few questions for you all to help me decide what features to put into the new site.

- What is your desktop resolution?
- Do you check the Wiki? How frequently?
- When was the last time you posted a screenshot to our screenshot section? Do you ever look at the screenshots in there?
- Do you still play in the arcade?
- Do you ever click the random button?
- Is it okay if we place a real life pic of you on the front of the site?
- Any other comments/opinions?

-I used to check and update the wiki but things move so fast that my sources of info are difficult to keep up with unless we're in one of those several month periods where we're all waiting for a patch.
-I have used the screenshot feature and will continue to, but the only people that ever see it are the people that also upload to it. Maybe there could be a couple thumbnails of recent additions at the top of the "New Posts" page to entice people to check em out.
-At one time I loved the arcade but I haven't visited in many moons.
-Ditto for random
-Giv'r
-My opinion of the site as it is, is very high. That being said, I've seen how much better it gets when you get excited so I would definitely not be adverse to change. I trust you.

-1024 x 768, I check this site out at work a Lot, (it keeps me from getting too bored) so please don't kill my bandwidth
- I used to use the wiki but now it's out of date and I use wow wiki instead
- never really used the screenshot feature myself but I like to see other people's screenshots
- every once in a while I use the arcade when I get Really bored
- we have a random button? where? and what does it do?
- real life pics? hmm.... I don't mind seeing them, I don't think you guys have any of me so I think I'm safe
- if you guys put more "hotness" on the site, please keep in mind that I and probably many others check this stuff out at work so keep it work safe.
- the site is fine as is, I like being able to click on 'new posts' to see what's new without having to go through everything else. I don't mind a revamp if you're itching to be creative, have fun

1) Res: 1680x1050 at home, 1440x1050 at work
2) Wiki: No, but I like the idea of it for common macros, etc.
3) Screenshot: No and I don't really ever look at them. Maybe just set up a guild account with picasa or something?
4) Arcade: Used to a lot, got really bored with the games.
5) Random: Sometimes but usually I am looking for a specific thing to begin with and get frustrated with the shit I don't want to see.
6) Personal Pic: I don't mind at all
7) Other: I am fine with the way it is but have always liked whatever you've done with the site. I'd prefer to see vbulletin built into the site than have the site built around vbulletin but have no gripes with the current design scheme. I just don't find myself visiting any area other than the forum.

- 1920x1200
- Wiki- I keep forgetting about it honestly.
- Screenshots- I think I posted something to it forever ago when you were first building it.. nothing since then.
- Arcade- Not really.
- Random- I was amused with the code for it, but I don't think I've ever actually clicked the link.
- RL pic- Couldn't care less
- I too am happy with the current site design, but am open to change... unless it sucks, then we are all going to yell at you a lot :P

- What is your desktop resolution? My work computer is changing soon, so I have no idea.
- Do you check the Wiki? How frequently? I used to use it a lot, in particular I found the "wishes" list helpful in Kara. Once my RL calms down a bit, I hoep to help out updating wikis. In sum, I think they can be useful.
- When was the last time you posted a screenshot to our screenshot section? Do you ever look at the screenshots in there? I haven't posted in ages, I looked at them occasionally in the past. I think it's good to have this capability, though.
- Do you still play in the arcade? Not anymore. Now I have Facebook for slow periods at work. And Peggle and Pocket God on my iPhone.
- Do you ever click the random button? Rarely.
- Is it okay if we place a real life pic of you on the front of the site? Absolutely. But only if I lok FABulous in it.
- Any other comments/opinions? Like everyone else, I love the site. But I trust that if you mess with it, you'll only make it more awesome. So go at it.

Yes, when I'm looking up something.

Never/Sometimes

No. It's blocked at work and when I'm home and playing a game I'm playing WoW.

Nope.

Sure.

- Desktop resolution: Depends on which computer I'm using. Laptop is 1280x800.

- Do you check the Wiki? How frequently? Oh yeah, we have a wiki. Has that been updated since the Kara days? It used to be vaguely helpful to organize strategy. I bet it'd be awfully useful to have consistent guild strategy for fights like Thaddius, so we always know which side to go for positive and negative! I wonder if the wiki has something like that.

- When was the last time you posted a screenshot to our screenshot section? Do you ever look at the screenshots in there? Not really. I thought that was only used for naked runs.

- Do you still play in the arcade? We have an arcade?

- Do you ever click the random button? We have a random button?

- Is it okay if we place a real life pic of you on the front of the site? No.

- Any other comments/opinions? You do some awesome work on this site. We have an amazing guild website, and please don't take my smart-assery as disparaging it in any way. I love our forum. However, a suggestion: concentrate on the things the forum does best, such as guild communication and awesomeness, and trim the things that don't really have anything to do with the guild, like the arcade. Make the wiki easier to find (a link in the top menubar, for instance), and if we're starting to use it regularly again, remind people to check it for our strategy when they sign up for raids.

Oh, and you know what would be awesome? A calendar full of VS hotties. O STRANGER WHAT A GREAT IDEA. INORITE. I HOPE SOMEONE MAKES ONE.

Hey there, Sarcasty McWhinesalot. You think it's more useful to have a webpage that you can open up every time you want to remember if you should be on the left or right? Wouldn't it be easier for the raid leader to have a macro and be repeating it over and over while the fight is going?

The wiki has indeed become outdated, but that's because it's a difficult thing to keep up to date. Also, considering last week was the first time we'd ever actually killed Thad on Heroic, it would be difficult to have a posted strategy.

Heh.

Buy some damn glasses and/or a new pc.

All of our work computers are locked to that setting.

A lot of our apps require it and we still have people that try to set them to 800x600.

just change the policy

I could go in and change it for mine, but the global policy resets it every time I reboot plus every time I had to log in to several of our apps I would have to change it. I just learn to deal with it.

Work applications are not as important as the guild website, man...get your priorities straight.

I actually agree with you there. The only reason I need to get into those particular apps is when people forget passwords and I say they deserve what they get.

Ahahaha. No -- but it would be a good idea to have one guild strategy that all the raid leaders adhered to, so we don't get to a fight and go, "Okay, which side does this raid leader think is supposed to be positive?" And now that we've done Naxx enough that we're starting to nail down our strategies, the wiki would be good for that.

The wiki has indeed become outdated, but that's because it's a difficult thing to keep up to date. Also, considering last week was the first time we'd ever actually killed Thad on Heroic, it would be difficult to have a posted strategy.

...Was it really? I was there for our first heroic Thad kill? /flex. I actually wasn't bitching about the wiki -- I had seriously forgotten to go check it since we started doing Northrend content. I would volunteer to help write strategy guides, but I don't think I've done the fights enough to really know them.

(MUAHAHAHAHA I WILL GO OFF TOPIC AND YOU WILL LIKE IT!)

a) 1280 x 1024 at work. higher res at home, but can't remember exactly
b) Can't say I use the wiki much, I keep forgetting it's there
c) I don't think I've ever posted a screenshot... I must change that
d) No games at work, which is where I check this the most, so no arcade for me
e) The random button is so random that I've never seen its randomness.
f) Picture of me is just fine... as long as it's not my halloween picture

1. 1920x1200 - but I don't load my web browser to full screen because at 1920x1200 on a 24" widescreen monitor it's a complete bitch to actually read anything. I run Firefox at 1024x1100 or so.
2. I've never used our wiki.
3. I don't think I've ever posted any screenshots, but I'm not known for remembering to take screenshots of anything. I do occasionally check out the screenshots just to see what other guildies have posted.
4. Never even clicked on arcade. I'm usually in the middle of working on something when I pop on here, so no time to fark around.
5. I've checked out the Random button, but the novelty wore off pretty quickly.
6. You may post a RL pic of me on the site as long as its a group shot. I like to think I'm not easily discernible in a crowd.

Other: Occasionally I make snarky comments to Homreker's posts, or call out Stranger for being a dick, but for the most part I just use the site as an event calendar. Oh, and to stalk you all when I'm bored at work.

- What is your desktop resolution -- More importantly, I usually have my browser open in 1024x768, sometimes smaller...

- I don't use the wiki often, however I do use it for things like "vent normalization" when I have to reinstall.

- I don't think I've posted a screen shot at all--or at least not for a while--I do like look at other's posts (because I'm such a vouyer...)

- The arcade gets used when I'm bored at work... but sometimes I just go to popcap games... I really with the railroad game worked better, because I would play that bitch until it broke... wait...

- There's a random button? Why?

- You can post as many real life pics of me as you want on the home page... as long as they are labeled with my forum name and not my real name... I figure the government has my picture in enough databases at this point, what's another going to do... lol

- Like I said before, I don't fear change. But I do like the site the way it is. That said, I also understand that sometimes we just want to change things because its fun... so go nuts!
