Wanted everyone to know that Sunday is a big freaking deal for our very own Mayhew. For those that don't know, Mayhew is one of the assistant coaches of the New Orleans Saints. And for those that are really out of the loop, the Saints are in the Super Bowl this Sunday! I totally plan to watch this game despite my lack of interest in sports. I'll be glued to my TV trying to high-five Mayhew. :D

We totally would have pumped it up sooner but we thought it was a secret that Mayhew was a real person as well.

Wow, my daughter cheered for the Saints a few years ago! Okay, well not really. It was a farm team type thing, ya know, past college, but not pro (I dunno what you call 'em, I'm so not a sporty chick!) and she was 7. But we still have Saints t-shirts and a couple of the pom poms in the good ol' Black and Gold, so we'll dust them off and shake them just for Mayhew!

I'm a Colts fan and live very near Indianapolis. All the same, I think New Orleans making the Super Bowl is great, and I'm thrilled to hear Mayhew is an assistant! Though I'm rooting Colts, I wish you very good luck, Mayhew!
I can't say I'd be happy if the Colts did not win but at least it's not bad for the Saints to win. Two number 1 seeds should make a good game.
