Er. Please?
I have been trying to figure this out for so long. The track was on a mix CD I made/listened to yeeeears ago, and I rediscovered it a few months ago. Sadly, the CD had no track information on it, so I have no idea what this came from. It sounds very Chrono Cross/Final Fantasy, but I can't seem to find any evidence that it belongs to any Squeenix properties, so... I need help.
If you have any idea what this came from, please tell me. I'd love to figure out a title/source for it. Please and thank you~

I don't know what it is, but I'm quite enjoying it.
It's pretty spectacular. I just wish I knew where I had found it!

There is a free app for the iPhone that will use the mic and the internet to identify songs but I don't recall what it is called.

I was going to say "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" until it got all orchestral on me....

It is an unbreakable rule that you must shout Shazam! in your best Dave Chappelle voice whenever you tap to start the audio capture.
If the app correctly identifies the song, you must shout Shazam! once again.

That information does not appear in the original post.

Statler: HOLY SHIT. I know I have absolutely heard this piece before. I am now going bonkers trying to remember. I was evening singing along with it. Listening to it with Fox right now.
Definitely not Final Fantasy, any of the Chrono Series, or Kingdom Hearts - I'd recognize those instantly. This is from something more obscure - possibly a Dragon Quest arranged album or something similar.
I WILL FIGURE THIS OUT FOR YOU.

KAE: EXACTLY.
I can almost SEE the scenes in my head, but I can NOT place it!
GO GO GADGET KAERYNA.

I'm going through all my OST mp3s now to try to figure this out. Because I didn't have anything better to do today. :)
Also - this is something Xan, Wither, or Nareko should look into. Maybe even Beard. Get on it, crew!

I'm pretty stoked about this to be honest. I feel like this song is from a more obscure japanese game that I may have downloaded the OST for but never actually played the game, as I used to do back in the day. I have several people I can check with also - I am sure we can track this down.
I really believe that if yall can't figure it out, I'll just never know. With all the people in the guild, and all of your non-guild geeky friends, SOMEONE is bound to know this track. And remember what it's from.
Statistically speaking, someone has to know it.

Statler can I get this track as an MP3? I want to spread this but apparently your embeded player gets cranky for some people.

The first part of the song sounded really Firefly like!
Kae: I have it on Fileden here.
Beard: It does. I thought it sounded very Chrono Cross, too. But then it launches into something different... Sort of like "Price of Freedom" does in the Crisis Core soundtrack. It seems almost like a medley of some game/show/whatever's themes.

You know what's funny? If you had the version with the vocals on it originally, we would have figured this out in seconds, considering the first lyric in the song is 'Anu Orta Veniya'. ;P
