I'm starting a new thread because I wanted to make sure as many people saw this as possible.

I know many people have expressed interest in taking part of the race to 25 when we hit 23 but I don't think people realize how much trouble we've gone to to make sure we're hitting the Guild Experience Cap every day. Last night was one of several nights where a couple people worked their ass off to make up the the last few percentage points and they really need more help.

Last night the cap was reached after 3am which is cutting it VERY close.

So the first point is this:

If we don't have enough people interested in this race, we can just relax and not worry about it. It just isn't going to work if only a handful of people are stressing out over it. And if that is the case.... that's ok!

If however, we have a dozen or so people that really do want to go for it, we need people to step up a bit to make it more enjoyable for everyone. Here's what you can do to help:

- The daily experience cap can be reached by doing about 4 all guild member heroics. Some heroics give far more experience than others (I'm looking at you Shadowfang Keep) so that average will vary. You don't need 4 alts all doing heroics every day... but if you can manage to find 4 other guildmates on, please try to do one.

- If you aren't interested in heroics but still want to contribute, do more daily quests than you need to do. Even if you're exalted with Therazane, go hit that hub. We had no issues when everyone was levelling and grinding rep, but now that we're slowing down it's getting very difficult to cap.

- Days with new raids are usually OK. If we down 3 or 4 raid bosses the experience that 10 people get is usually enough to top us out. But on a night like tonight (Thursday) when we're only trying new bosses, there is a chance we won't get any experience for that whole 3 hours. These are days when an extra heroic or two would really really help.

- If you don't care.... don't worry about it. This is not something that we want to force people into doing. And if there isn't enough interest in doing it, we won't be able to win anyway so we won't stress and just have fun.

- To the best of our knowledge... we have never missed capping a day. This puts us in at least the top 3 or 4 guilds on the server and could mean that we're in the lead. We do have a chance at this, but only if enough people want to go for it.

If anyone has any tips about which heroics are the best XP/hour please feel free to post that info here.

P.S. We can thank Kae for making sure that we hit the cap on more than one night. Without him we would have missed it several times by now.

HEROIC TIPS:

The second boss in Shadowfang Keep gives 5 or 6 times as much guild experience as other bosses.

The first boss in Throne of the Tides is the only one that gives guild experience. If you get that one randomly and you're going for XP... it would probably be best to kill the first boss and then queue for another after the 15 min timer is up.

While I appreciate the thanks for obsessing over video game laurels, I just want to extend the shoutout to everyone running heroics for guild experience, especially when it doesn't benefit them personally. Especially last night's emergency clean up crew!

I have been rather caught up in real life lately and have not been helping out as much as I want to. Thanks for all that have been putting in the effort. I'll try to get online a little each day though since we seem to be needing more help these days. Also, if it's 8:00 server and we're still way behind on the cap, could someone maybe post on this thread? Might motivate people to hop on and play for a bit to help push us through. I know Fox has been telling me when we're behind on the cap but it's usually at my bedtime when he tells me!

I will continue to help with the push as much as I can, but it would be good to know if we're just going to end up falling behind and don't have enough interested people to work on it. In any event, it's given me the incentive to finally level up my DK!

At this point I think we have as good a chance as any other guild. I know there are several people that are up for starting some heroic madness at 4am and that's what it will take to get it...

But if we miss capping a few days we'll be out of the running.

I've been leveling Actionsaxon, and this last week averaging 1.3m - 1.6m xp per hour. I don't know how that compares to heroics. He's only 1 or 2 nights from 85 (and probably a couple more nights from being able to tank a heroic), at which point I'd love to run nightly heroics with any of the toons.

i don't have much to add right now, but i am excited that we are in the running for this. i am trying to level famousjenny to 85 to help when it is time. :)

I haven't been running that many heriocs but most days I have been doing 30+ daily quests. I will put in some extra effort.

For the push, I will have an 85 feral druid with 400+ cata quests to do and should have my DK up to 85 with at least the same. Also have a few more 85 toons that only cleared about half the quests as they leveled.

I am interested. Right now my only heroic ready toons are Trianna and now Bathilda (thanks to PvP crafted gear). Poxie is almost 85 and I hope my priest will be 85 by go time. This will give me 6 toons to work with. I need to get more toons up to heroic gear.

i am down for the 4am heroic fest. my plan is to take at least my 2 off days starting on the day we hit 23, maybe 3 days. im going to strap on an adult sized diaper and ill be questing my balls off when we are not running heroics.

I can be on until the wee hours in the overnight heading out of 4/4/11 but I am not going to be able to take the day off. That is, if I can explain to my wife how important this is to my dork cred.

Gaming or WoW? I've struggled with my addiction to gaming for a couple of decades now. I enjoy it too much.

We're sitting at 37% today and there haven't been enough online to do a heroic. Might need some help to hit the cap.

Did we make it? My real life has been interfering with my internet ambitions lately, I bet pebble and all the TB dailies I still need were up too. Plus some bug was causing 100% drop rate of the MT chicken (because that's how my life rolls.)
