Four years ago I had this crazy idea of inviting the entire guild to come ride on a new roller coaster called Behemoth... and the first VS Fest was created!
Now they bring us the Leviathan! Seems like a good excuse for another VS Fest! ;)
I did promise though that I would open up next year's VS Fest destination to suggestions from guildies before making a final decision. So let's get the discussion going on where we may want to go.
And... GO!

I don't suppose there is a ferry that goes across to Rochester is there? I so, I might be able to swing hanging out for a day with you guys while I take the kids up to visit family.

That sounds amazing. When do you think this event would happen?

VS Fest 5 will be some time in the Summer of 2012 (assuming of course the world doesn't blow up).
As far as a ferry from Rochester.... You're pretty much on the exact opposite side of Lake Ontario and you'll have to drive one way or the other to a border crossing. East to Thousand Islands, or West to Niagra Falls.

Hm, suck.
I knew it was right across, but I suppose a boat is too much to hope for.

Toronto would be awesome. My summer is pretty open so far, with the exception of the weekend of August 11. The sooner we lock in a weekend the better, as far as I'm concerned, though.
Once I get some feedback on the destination I'll post another poll with suggested dates. It will most likely be sometime between May and September.

well i've never had the pleasure of visiting Canada. i've also heard of this magical food called poutine that doesn't exist in the southwest. i don't think Z cares much as long as its not Israel or China!

As we mentioned 4 years ago before VS Fest 1... if you don't have a passport and you live in the states, now would be a good time to start the process.

Awww yeah. This looks like a good time waiting to happen! The only place in CA I've been is Niagara Falls and the Hard Rock Casino there and I'm fairly certain that's not a good representation of the country. I can't wait to try poutine...I'm tired of hearing you fuckers rave about it. I'm def in!

I would definately be in for that since it's only a 4-5 hour drive for me. :)

Ok, I brought this up to the boss and we could tentatively head up to Rochester to visit my aunt. I could take a day to head up to toronto and ride roller coasters with you guys and she would hang with the kids.

Of course Jenny and I will make this happen.
Dondoh and I are definitely in for Toronto. Let's pick some dates soon.

You mean I have to have "papers" and "identification"?
Sorry. Alabama is one of the many states that passed an immigration law. It's a big debate around here and parts will be in litigation for years I'm sure. The thing is.... I fully expect to have to get all my documentation in order and go through customs to enter or stay in another country. Why do other people expect differently?
Again, sorry, hot topic with some. I'm probably breaking VS rules. Any heated response please send in PM. :)
ANYWAY... Toronto has my vote at the moment since I've yet to experience y'all's taters, curds and gravy!

I'm with you. Common sense died a few elections ago.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Pearson is the one you want. Fox or Sapph can better attest to that though.

Pearson is the main airport in the city. But there is also a smaller airport right downtown on Toronto Island. Porter is the airline that flies out of there but they fly to a very limited number of US cities.
