There is a new MMO in development by Sony with a zombie theme. I swore after SWG that Sony would never get any more of my money but.....

This looks really cool. A guy that Dondoh, Trianna and I know is one of the engineers working on the game.

Highlights include:
Persistent World Building/Destruction (I.E. Player built forts)
The ability to light things on fire and burn them down
meaningful day/night cycles (Night is REALLY dark, you need a torch or flashlight and zombies come out in larger numbers at night)
Cars and possibly helicopters or planes

Sony is also lowering the price for their all-inclusive monthly fee to 14.99; I'm going to get it.

7 Days To Die is the lower tier version of this, as far as being a zombie game with crafting and destructible environments including digging dirt, stone and ores for crafting. It's in early alpha access on Steam but a tad pricey though one purchase gets you everything. Don't know about setting stuff on fire though and probably not as dark at night as you may like.

I did this. Getting some PS2, EQ2 and DCO time and it's not too bad. Definitely feels like more of a deal with the "normal" sub price for all of them.

what eq2 server are you on?

Permafrost in EQ2, Terran Republic on Connery in PS2. Don't remember which one I'm on in DCO.

I'll see about creating a toon on EF. I may not have any more spaces; I was a pretty big into RP on FV.

The assembly line I have set up in EQ2 would make my WoW stuff look puny.

Supposedly being a member gives you access to the servers that are old school, but I haven't looked into it. I know when EQ went F2P, I tried it out just to for old time's sake, but it's the new game and doesn't feel the same.

I'm probably going to make a new EQ2 toon. I've not really found a class yet that's kept me interested.

Well I am re-acclimating myself with EQ and EQ2. Before I embarrass myself with my namesake monk; I have created two shadowknights a Troll on FV (EQ) and an Erudite on AB (EQ2).

Ironically, my locked toons were stuck forever in deleted newbie zones, so I had to whack them. I got rid of Pils the Monk in EQ2, also; he was very creepy looking.

One thing I can say, Mal, is both of these games instill a feeling that I never had in WoW.

I love WoW, but not as much as a 12th lvl monk running up to a hillgiant in the commonlands for the first time and getting smashed to bits, or Dorn running around killing the entire zone.

I cant wait to dive into this again. Remember Spectres? spooky fuckers and that odd noise they made.

Yes, the whole of EQ has not been duplicated. Running through Kithicor was something I both hated and loved.

I'm dabbling with EQ2 and may play around with EQ a little. Depends on what servers I have access to.

My Troll SK on FV has a freaking stalker. I have a damn Ogre following me around everywhere staring at me...creepy, man. I guess I'm getting a dose of my own medicine...(self-deprecating joke).
