Victorious Secret - Know Thyself
I am creating this small piece of literature to insure that we never lose our way as a guild and keep ourselves true to what we have always wanted VS to be -- an orgy fest of meat flower goodness of course (or perhaps that's just me). In addition, I'm going to touch on some in-game topics and discuss how we do things so that everyone is in the know.
The Victorious Secret: It's just a game.
We play World of Warcraft for fun. It's where we like to go to escape the pressure and demands that real life puts on us and to have a damn good time. To keep WoW our "happy place" and to make sure VS is always a fun place to be, let's take the time to read over these items from time-to-time to make sure we're still VS.
_______________________________________________________________________________________
What we're not about:
Asshats - We're all ambassadors of VS so NOT being an asshat applies to all channels of the game. We are quite proud of the name we've made for ourselves, please don't poop directly on it.
Beggars - We want to help, we do, but sometimes we have our own things to work on at the moment. If you ask for a hand on guildchat and no one is available to give it, it isn't personal and we're sorry ...though you may want to consider bathing. I'm just sayin'.
Drama Queens - It happens to the best of us but the world does not revolve around any one person. If you have a problem that you think needs to be dealt with take it to an officer. If it is with an officer take it to another officer. Dealing with issues in public will not solve your problem.
Item linking Zealots - The occasional sharing of a drop or wishlist item is fine 'n dandy and expected but when our guild chat is scrolling with links to stuff you want/have/masturbate over, no thanks.
Meanies/Creeps/Bigots - There's a definite line between being offensive and being mean. We don't like meanies. We also don't like creepiness. We have a lot of females in the guild and they don't like slimy creepazoids pawing at them so be mindful of how you may be coming across to the opposite sex. Bigots need not apply. The bottom-line is to be respectful of one another.
Politicians and Evangelists - Go sell some place else cuz we ain't buyin'. GChat + religion/politics = never good.
Spelling/Grammar Challenged - Only a few here are actual English majors so no one is perfect but we do kinda try to make an effort.
Uberists - By uberist I mean a person who thinks they know everything about the game and just how everyone should play it. We don't care. It's a game. Let us play how we want to play. We appreciate opinions when asked for them but we never want to be berated if we're trying to do something different.

Instance Runs:
- Scheduled Runs: Everyone is free to post runs. No one is ever required to attend a run and anyone (within level range) is welcome to join us. Unfortunately, there is a limit on the number of people who can go. To be fair, it's first come, first serve by giving an "I'll be there" on the event's thread in our forums. If you're not on time for the event, your spot will be available to those online. Even if the max number of participants have posted on the thread, post anyway. If enough people sign-up, we'll have multiple groups running.
- Scheduled Raids: Directors post raids on a regular basis but if there is something in particular you would like to see scheduled, feel free to send one of them a PM. As with regular runs, no one is ever required to attend a raid and anyone (within level range) is welcome to join us. Unfortunately, there is a limit on the number of people who can go. To be fair, the Directors try to choose the list based on who has been on previous runs (to give everyone a chance at going), and try to balance the group(s) for the best chance at succeeding. Even if the max number of participants have posted on the thread, post anyway. If enough people sign-up, we'll have multiple groups running.
- Group Rules: Have fun!!! Don't get pissy over wipes and never take the instance too seriously. We're all smart people and we're expected to play well but accidents happen. Don't let them get your panties in a wad.
- Loot Rules: When in an instance or raid with VS here is our general looting policy. When on an instance run, group looting is usually in use. In raids we generally use master looter. In those situations, greens will be sent out to guildies after the run if they did not get an upgrade or a shard. In runs such as Kara the master looter will allow anyone who has not already recieved a drop to roll. VS is full of some really great people and many times these drops are decided by "No, you take it." However if the item is something that is of benifit to you, you are entitled to roll on it. (Even if Wow-Loot lists your class as a secondary or tertiary.
BoE items
Click need if an item is an upgrade, otherwise click greed (or pass).
BoP items
Pass initially on an item. People should first roll on it if it is an upgrade. If it is not an upgrade for anyone, everyone can roll on it to vendor it. If there is an enchanter on the run that is willing to d/e the item, then the shards should be saved until the end of the run and anyone who did not get an upgrade should roll on them.

Recruiting
Open doors: We allow in anyone we like. We do not base recruitment on anything game related.
If you encounter someone who you feel could be a good fit in VS follow these steps in recruiting them. Chat with the person for a good amount of time to get a feel for their intelligence and sense of humor. If they seem to be VS material, ask them to register on our site and fill out an application. I will post their answers in the VS Eyes only forum along with my first impressions of the applicant. After 48 hours, if the majority agrees that the application looks like a possible fit then the individual will be guilded as an initiate. Everyone is expected to give their two cents and post comments on all experiences with the new recruit in their application thread. When their initiation period is up after two weeks, we'll decide to either promote them, extend their initiation or ... well, you know.
If you /ginvite the new initiate, make sure you put their forum name in the in-game guild "Notes" section and add your name and the date you invited them in the "Officer's Notes" section.
Please do NOT perform any type of recruiting in vicinity chat. If you decide to discuss VS with someone, keep it in directed tells. It's much more personal and comes off significantly more respectful. I personally, would never join a guild where members were asking Joe Newb in Stormwind if he wanted to join his guild without getting to know him first. Remember, we're always looking for quality, not quantity.

Afflack is no longer involved in any trade. Currently unemployed.
Check out the link in the first post above to view the complete guild list. Once players register and upload their character profiles to this site, you will get access to a bunch of really nice guild tools like bank searches, stat tracking, honor tracking and more. Check out www.rpgoutfitter.com for more details. The character profiler package can be downloaded here. The more players that upload their character profiles, the more powerful these tools become.

We need an application form so we can be pretentious and judgemental.
How the fuck are we supposed to know who's whorish enough to join us if we don't grill them first? And what if they have some cyber disease?!?! Ew.
