VS Officer Ranks
The Don :: Head of the family
Responsible for everything.
1/1 position filled. Sorry but you're all stuck with me as The Don. That is until I'm taken out by some other guild boss.
The Doberman :: Top Assassin
The one responsible for doing The Don's dirty work so that he can keep the appearance of a "good guy". Whenever someone needs to be removed from the guild or an alliance needs to be broken, The Doberman will be sent to handle the communication.
1/1 position filled. Ashu (the bitchiest bitch in the guild)
Consigliere :: Our advisors and representatives to the other players and guilds on Eitrigg
Next to The Don, this rank has the most work to do of all the officer ranks. They're responsible for building alliances, recruiting new members and taking care of our public relations. They'll be expected to have a good knowledge of what guilds are out there, who are the PVPers, who are the assholes, who do we trust, who do we hate and all that jazz. I'd like a list maintained on the site of Eitrigg's ninja looters and known gold farmers.
2/2 positions filled. Afflack, Afkasec
Sotto Capo :: Those responsible for handling internal affairs and organizing events
Any internal conflict should be squished immediately and the Sotto Capos are in charge of taking care of that in The Don's absence. This is the only rank besides The Don and Doberman that can kick people from the guild. Only the most trusted members can hold this position and they will need to be voted in by a guild majority. They should be the ones coming up with events, instance runs and getting those that need help with quests the help they need. All of these events will need to be posted on the site calendar and in the forums.
2/2 positions filled. Jakiera, Gleja
Caporegime :: The heart of the guild
The Caporegimes are the guild members that give selflessly to help others obtain whatever is needed. They take the time to get to know everyone and pay close attention to all guild activities. They help in organizing events, instance runs and getting those that need help with quests the help they need.
2/3 positions filled. Zanphart, Linnaris
Wise Guy :: Class know it alls
To be considered a Wise Guy, one must be 60 and know their class inside and out. They're expected to help everyone, especially those in their class, whenever it's needed. They should be keeping track of who in their class has what equipment and find ways to help them improve what they have (if the help is wanted). We in no way force anything upon anyone. If someone is happy with their green set then so be it but if they want better, it's the Class Wise Guy's job to help them.
(Druid) available
(Mage) Agnes
(Rogue) Oshu
(Warrior) Rinader
(Hunter) Ctrlalt (Widget)
(Priest) Arolaide
(Paladin) Jamisia
(Warlock) Viraj
I want to make it clear that officers have no more say in guild decisions than a Sgarrista. It's all about the extra work they must do. Each member of VS can only have one character in an officer position. You can't be both a Sotto Capo and a Caporegime.
Discuss and let me know if you'd be interested in any of these spots. Of course those that have been with us longer will get priority if more than one person wants a particular spot. For those that wish to be a Sotto Capo, let us know and we'll have a vote.

I'm fine with the Druid Capo postition, but if you need me to step in as a Sotto I can do that as well.
Only thing I probably wouldn't be good for would be a Consigliere. Pretty much burned out on that type of role after 4 years of being a Monarch in AC.
Wherever ya need me.

Actually, I was thinking of making a new caporegime position just for you. Mastah Craftah.

Looks fantastic, and very well thought out. Nice work :)
I'm very happy with my Doberman position. Very happy indeed.

Wow, a guild with structure. I love it. Makes me miss my old guild in EQ. As for me, I'm just happy to serve anyway I can.

No need for an actual position for the crafter, I'm just going to do it anyways.... :)
Rin, would you be interested in taking the warrior caporegime spot? It's yours if you want it.

the capo rank, while valid, might not be necessary. We have all played most classes to a certain extent and know what would be good/bad for each class.
I'll ponder on this rank a bit.

Wow, I would love to be a Capo. I'm all for helping out where I can.
I would like to be consigliere, I already have a fair amount of knowledge on the guilds currently on Etrigg and its always fun pointing out who the douchebags are.
Ben in charge of public relations? Shit, we're in trouble.
Get started on that list of ninjas, goldfarmers and shitbags. ;) I'd like to see one post with all of that information and one post with "the lowdown" on the guilds we acquaint ourselves with.

It is a little hard to work with the current arrangement though. If you hold an officer's spot, you can't do anything unless you're logged in as that character, which is a little bit of a pain. And Ben almost had a cow when he found out he couldn't officer chat. ;)
I could add a "Sgarrista *" rank for those who are officers.

that would work! that way we wouldn't have to switch characters?
Right.
Still waiting for those posts, Ben.... ;)
What the top fifty guilds wasnt enough ;) Im gonna do some more research today, sometimes when I go through forums I see don't play with so and so and an arguement of sorts generally follow in the thread. I dont want to just start blacklisting peeps because a couple of people cant get along.
Stay tuned for more info on the state of guild affairs on Etrigg.

I've seen a few posts up recently of 60s ninjaing items with screenshots for proof. I'd like to get those individual added to our blacklist.
We've made some changes to our officer structure. Have a look at the first post in this thread.

I'm Julie and I'll be your cruise director.
I wanted to give this a little bump to see if any of our Sgarristas had any interest in officer positions.
