Who was it again that is hosting the ventrilo and/or website and what are the costs involved? Have we been close to hitting the limit for our current Ventrilo server? I am fairly new to Ventrilo so don't know one hosting company from another, but I did check out a few of the hosting links on Ventrilo's page and saw 50 user servers for around $15USD/mnth.

I know there has been a bit of discussion about this. I would be willing to share costs / maybe pay for a month of the services. Paypal would be preferred.

I'm with Jorack. Vent is a important tool of the guild and shouldn't have to come out of the pocket of one person. I would be more than happy to chip in.

I currently run the Vent server, it's hosted through ventriloservers.biz. That host was recomended to me by a couple folks, it's stable with a good connection and when you can set it up, you can choose the region of your server. I chose NY because the majority of our members are on the east coast.

It has 25 slots at the moment and a couple times we have come close to that limit (anyone remember when I hosted my own server that only had 8 slots? bleh) A server with 50 slots is $14.95 a month and I haven't had the cash/chance to upgrade it.

If y'all want to donate, it would be awesomefantastic! I'm a starving artist after all. :)

I was just billed for the server today and when I tried to upgrade it wanted me to pay the whole $15 on top of the $10 I already paid. I sent them an email to see if they will let me pay the difference or just set it up to upgrade me on the next billing cycle.

I got a response from the dude, he said that it would be prorated with what I've already paid so the server has been upgraded to 50, should last us for quite a while.
