The officers have been kicking around the idea of having a "Horde Night" once a week to get away from the lewt grind that WoW has become for a lot of us. It'll be very similar to The Enlightened's old Noob Nights where we all start fresh and keep our toons together in levels. There will be a level cap set for each week and we'll heavily discourage anyone from passing it. In fact, we'd all be very happy if we all only played on the Horde server on "Horde Night" -- unless you missed Horde night and want to get caught up.

We're planning to pick one of the new servers and we'll compile a nice fat list of who wants to play what class so that we have a good mix.

What does everyone think?

Is there a reason to NOT play on Eitrigg? Other than that, I'm game. I'd give a shaman a try as I've never played one.

We've talked about that, but came to the decision to try a new server for two reasons:
1. Some of us may not have room to add another toon to our Eitrigg roster
2. If Eitrigg is down, we can all jump on the other server

At the same time, a fair number of VS members have Horde alts on other servers that they have not played so much lately. Anyone wants to do so is, of course, more than welcome to transfer those alts to the new server we'll be choosing when the new Blizzard pay-to-transfer system comes available. Totally optional, but at least it will be there. I've got a few Horde alts on the Dalaran server I'll be transferring myself, as I have no interest in playing there anymore but I want to play the characters somewhere :)

Which is why we'd *primarily* have a one night a week "Horde Night" where anyone interested in playing logs onto the Horde side and watches the same glorious guild chat there :)

This is not meant to replace or even be equal to the regular VS activities. This is a fun diversion. It may one day grow into something more, who knows, but right now this is just to give us something else to do on the side at least one night a week.

At the same time, when the expansion hits, we're bound to have people who want to try out Blood Elves, and this way we'll have an established location just for this purpose.

I've never played a Horde pass lvl 5...something about picking cactus apples as a mission in the Orc starting zone somewhat surprised me.lol

Blood Elves on the other hand sound like they're gonna be mean. I heard their racial ability will be to drain your secondary energy bar (be it action, rage or mana) to fill their's. I've been wrong before - that's just what I heard though.

Yeah, I'll be rolling myself a Blood Elf.

It's an area-effect mana drain.

I'm just sad because I have tried several Horde characters and never liked any of them - but I love the same class on the Alliance side. I just don't dig being big and ugly. This is fantasy! I want to be pretty and talented for a change! ;)

So yeah I may consider it when the Blood Elves come out, but... still not really likely.

You just hit the primary reason why the Alliance seriously outnumbers the Horde on 99% of the servers. :) A LOT of the playerbase thinks along the same lines of wanting pretty characters, and understandably so.

Thats funny though because most of people I have met in RL who play have horde toons... which was why when we first got into it we were so lonely!

Playing horde is like being a drug dealer.. you get street cred.

I wanted to play an orc but they grunt too much. The armor on an undead looks all funky with the spine hanging out even through a CLOAK and the elbow and knee joints showing all the time. The troll females either have 'exorcist' face or 'retarded' face. That's my problems with 'horde.'

I harbor a psychotic resentment and hatred towards the Alliance. Prior to this toon, I played all horde characters since beta. I "dabbled" with the Alliance in Beta, but that was the extent of it. I am, if it can be said of a virtual world impacting on real life, "Horde to the core."

If it were not for the personalities in this guild, I never would have been able to maintain playing an Alliance character. So....

Anytime anyone wants to play horde, I'm game!

I may be moving mine to Lothar when I'm able. I have a couple of friends there who's guild does MC, Ony, BWL, etc. regularly, and they need priests (BIG suprise there!). And Rizzo is a VERY HAWT troll btw!

Keep nominating guild names and we'll have a vote.

If Wednesday remains the leader in the poll then we'll start this coming Wednesday the 17th. Go ahead and create your Horde toons on Ysera (our new Horde home). The initial cap will be level 8 so play around and take a couple of toons to 8 if you want to get a feel for what class/race you want to play.

Once you've decided on your "main", post their name and race in the "Horde Night - Characters" thread.

We still haven't named a guild Red Light Zombie Whores and that saddens me.

Hordecore rocks - almost as kick ass as our guild name.

What server is this going to be on btw? ???
