Greetings, Mages! I am Agnes and I'm here to gather you all up and see who is who and who is frost/arcane/fire and to tell you that if you have any strange mage questions, go ahead and ask. If I don't know, I can find out. I am quick and efficient, unlike my casting time for throwing snowballs.

Probably going to be arcane
I just realized that I am a sped and forgot to get her into the guild after the event. D'oh. I WILL DO THIS RIGHT AFTER THE PATCH SETTLES DOWN.

Frenial
Level 60 mage
30/21 Fire/frost
Frenial spent her early childhood in the Stormwind Orphanage after her parents died in a mysterious fire that razed their house, but which she miraculously escaped. At the orphanage she was a trouble maker, constantly found playing with matches. It was only once the wards realized some of her fires were being set without matches that they sent her to the Sisters of the Light Home for Wayward Mages and her education in the ways of magic began. A gifted mage, she first dabbled in the arcane magics before turning to her true calling as an elementalist, though she was always drawn to the firey arts. Upon coming of age she was finally told the truth about her parents' death, and after recovering from the shock of realization that she was the cause, found evidence of darker magics at play. She has since devoted her life to tracking down the source of those magics and putting an appropriate, flaming end to it.
She also makes good cinnamon buns:
Epic = done, magister's = one robe short of a set.

Malai
Level 52, for now.
Final build will be 31/20 Fire/Frost
Malai is Gleja's farming slave. I wouldn't expect to see him in any high-level runs. Because how many times have we said, "Gee, this raid needs fewer priests and more mages!"?
Exactly.
So I'll get him to 60 & goof off. He'll kill all the crap that is too tedious to kill with Gleja and then he'll send her the loot.

I'm not even sure why I'm going to post this, but what the hell! Yuma has been level 39 since oh, maybe February of this year. I have way too much fun playing Zan, but maybe, just maybe, one of these days I will finally hit at least 40 with Yuma...and then I can waste 90 gold on a horse I will never use! Anyway, I don't recall her talent point spread off-hand, but she's mostly arcane. I like doing things differently!

Smoopsie is the mage, I remember that much. Sy is the druid that I never play. check my sig, biotch!
Hee. I totally forgot about the sig...YES, Smoopsie!
Solace level 37 all frost. Waiting mostly on Maligner to level. Someday if some mages my level are working on the mage quests (I currently have 3 I believe) then maybe we can get together and do them.

Faustis - 60 Mage 3/4 arcance, 1/4 frost.
Yes, I know, Fire does more dps per mana. Yes, Frost protects the group better. However, I have normally played Faustis without a group and Arcane does the most dps per second!
I made 60 recently so I haven't done any Scholo, Strath, Black Rock or even Silithus. Most of my time now is spent picking flowers.
All my gear came from the Wal-mart in Stormwind.
I haven't started the epic mount quest yet, if there is one.
What I would really like to do is the epic water quest. I heard it is in DM but I haven't done any research on it yet.
Anyway, if you'd like a mage and all the other 60's are busy, I will gladly sheep something for you.

Afkasec - Level 60
Frost all the way baby!! with the odd point in Arcane I do believe, and one or two in fire. I have most of my magister's set short the hat and the robe. I already have my epic chicken...boy worked hard for that one and am still broke!
And unlike braggy frenial up there, I do not make cinnamon buns...YET!

The inevitable post from me... I have a mage as well.... Her name is Vasari. She is in her mid to late teens right now. I still can't decide what skills to have.. I think I finally settled on disenchanting for one, but the other is still open. Spec??? might go arcane. I like arcane. My first mage was arcane, and at that time (way back in my Azjul-Nerub days) I was one of the few mages in my guild that did not die constantly from stealing aggro from even the uber tanks. Priests liked me. Of course I had my own personal shaman to heal me at the time too.... but i digress. This is of course another alt that I only play occasionally, when you are all being mean to me and going on runs without me and things.... oh yah... I should sign up for those :P

Mootsey-Level 60
Right now i have a pvp frost/fire spec. I started out with fire/arcane and i loved the burst damage but i got tired of dieing so much. Then i change to frost/arcane spec that was good for both pve/pvp. As i started pvping more and pveing less i switched to my current spec. Now i'm tired of pvp since i dont have 12 hours/ day to grind honor. So now i'm thinking about going to an all pve frost/fire spec. But who knows....
I currently have 5/8 of the magister set. I still need hat, pants, and robe.

PvP Mages, I'm looking for spec help.
Right now I'm a 0/41/10 fire mage. Yay for lots of damage. Boo for no survivability. Some of this is my gear's fault; I have ridiculously low hp. But I'm wondering if a different spec will help me out on the battlefield.
Here's one idea: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=R0xicRbzTI0ioZbhMh
Any thoughts?

Now that Oriole is 60 and Kestral is gettin close, I decided to level my mage next. Her name is Kittiwake (it's a type of sea bird) and I have no idea how to spec her. I'm trying to think of something good for pve soloing and grouping. I'm assuming a fire/something spec. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
I gave her herbalism and tailoring, but I might change to mining just for the hell of it.

I really loved fire for leveling. It's very satisfying to have mobs die before they can get near you.
I like the arcane/frost build, Glej. You'll be using frost nova a million times in PvP when you're getting the gangbang and you're trying to escape. Stam gear ALSO helps so you can spare the seconds of "stunned to hell" that will happen before you are able to throw up your frost nova and blink out of there. Also, you'll need your shield. So...yeah, I vote for the first build.

I like it! I'm still getting used to it, but Slow is a great spell. Especially in WSG.
My gear still sucks. But I bought one piece of gear today, and I'll get another piece tomorrow.
