Well the other wise guys got this nifty roll call thing going on and are we going to let them get away with that? - hell no!
So, hunters I know who you are (Easier for me because there are so many of us) but does the guild and more importantly do the instance organizers know your talents, wants and abilities?
Soldier, I need your name, level and serial number
What do you like to do in an instance? Example: Personally I am a trap fiend who's pet is convinced she's an off tank.
Simply put, how can I help you? Better yet, what do you want me to strong arm the instance gods in doing to help you with your goals?
Bonus DKP for the first to guess Delete's favorite cheese

Delete's favorite cheese is dick cheese of course!
Kundera the Wise and Totally Fucking Awesome - lvl 60 - 7/44/0 - 6 of 8 tier0 (no hat/no chest, don't care)
Kundera is on "help others only" mode as I'm totally digging Killian at the moment. However, when he does do guild raid runs he's all about doing as much damage as possible. Goethe, the coolest fucking wolf on Eitrigg, is his life partner.

Ummmm..... Oiyn Level 36. Currently goal is to level up, when I play my hunter because I'm concentrating on my main right now. Oh yeah, all Beast Mastery too.
I felt I should help with your thread by posting..
And I wanted to say how nice it is to own rogues ;)

Eulalia's only known family is her identical twin sister, Kaeryna, however, the two were separated at birth and thus traveled down very different life paths.
Her parentage is shrouded in mystery, as she grew to maturity in the untamed wilds of Teldrassil, among kitties, piggies, and sometimes also spiders. Never the toothiest murloc in the sea, many who saw a young Eul playing among the animals thought to take her into their homes, until they noted that she did not speak or respond to them in any appreciably comprehensible manner.
Any would be foster parents concluded that the girl was obviously retarded and better off as furbolg food (so as to decrease the surplus population). Truth to be told, Eulalia did not learn Darnassian or Common until late into her twentieth season, and to this day she is unable to read without the benefit of an Arcane Intellect buff.
Still, her expertise at what she termed 'huntering' was undeniable, given her affinity with animals (especially kitties) and her rock solid precision when it came to lodging an arrow in someone's lungs, heart, or other vital organ.
Thus, Eulalia traveled far, saw much, and learned many things of the world's secret and dire places.
But she still can't hold a book properly.

Oriole reporting for duty! SIR!
I've been playing a hunter since beta. . . so you'd think I'd be better at then this :P
Anywhoo, in instances I like to avoid dying ;D and to do major damage. The only goal I have right now is getting to 60 along with my two adorable pets Russalka and Kehaar.
I'm almost totally Beast specced so both pets are little bundles of DOOM! Russalka is for groups and Kehaar is for soloing. I'd take Kehaar everywhere but he has a tendency to stick his feathers up the nose of the nearest tank.
Oh, and I think Delete's favorite cheese is : since everyone is picking cheeses named after different parts of the human body I'm gonna say that Delete's favorite cheese is gouda!

Raeb - 60 - 11/34/6
I'm in a bunch of blues right now, but that's mostly because of my Dragonscale skills. So, I'm looking to move into more BoP stuff sooner or later. When I can make it for instances I like spitting out the DPS and Flappers is convinced that he's a Tank (he barely off-tanks, but YOU try and convince him otherwise). I always tell the healers to not worry about keeping him alive if it's causing any problems.

Here I go again... I also have a hunter.. although not in the guild. His name is Leis and he is level 9. I didn't get very var with him at all and almost never play him. Maybe once I get my warrior, mage and priest all to 60 I will look once again in his direction. :)
Sapphyre is currently a 44 Hunter, along with lifetime partner Tiger (level 43/44). All talent in Marksmanship so far. I'm on RPGO so you can look up my details if you like.
As you noticed in our last instance together, I AM VERY NEW at this game! ;) Foxfyr introduced me to WoW but he's never played a hunter so I've had to learn as I go. I've read some of the hunter forums in the past (Raeb directed me to them at one point). But I really haven't kept up with it. And I find there's so much to read and I have no idea what's good or bad advice. I am a pretty casual player and don't really have any goals set at the moment except to level up to 60. You may need to have a one-on-one session with me one day to teach me the tools of the trade... if you're interested in taking me under your wing!
I welcome any advice anyone has to give.
And yes, I'm going to get DASH immediately :)

I have a wee 11 Dwarf Hunter named Rethel after the bowman from The 13th Warrior (I know, how original). Since I mostly solo, I hear the first tree with all the pet bonuses is the best to stick with untill you're around 50, then respec after that. Does this sound right?

That sounds about right to me! Though, I hadn't heard about respecing at 50. I'm still having fun with the Beast tree!

Beast is the hands down easiest way to get to 60, what you do from there is up to you. There is the standard DPS spec of 5/31/15 that raiders use to maximize their DPS. There is also a variation on that once you get enough AGI gear you can afford to go heavier in survival for some goodies in there.
My spec at 60 is 31/20/0, it is a matter of playstyle choice for me. Mostly Ctrlalt is in the 5-10 man instances where individuality stands out more since Widget is my Raider toon. Going heavy into Beast allows your pet to be a great off tank for the mobs in those instances. However, if I start getting serious into raiding with my hunter then I would respec heavier into Marksman since no matter how buffed up your pet is, hes a 2 shot derringer.
It really boils down to what you plan to do at 60. Hunter is a versatile class, you can just sit back and autoshoot if you want, max the dps with crit aimshots, get funky with the traps., play with the pet, be the puller for the tank, the list goes on. Get to 60, play all those roles along the way and pick what is right for you.

Speaking as a non-hunter, if you have an ability you love to use and think would help in an instance, make sure you remind your group. Since for a long time the only hunters we had were the Don, Raeb, and Oriole, I know /I/ forget some of the cool things hunters can do, and some of your other five-man tankytypes might as well.

Kivi is a level ****NINETEEN*****!!!!! hunter. SO AWESOME.
I post here to let Sapphyre know that she can totally boss me around when I am huntering. I have level 7 gear right now. I don't really care. One day I'll be decked out like Eulalia and solo Nefarian. It's all good. Mostly, I'm just having fun when I'm not being an almighty warlork. It is my first alt! I like her. It is cool to shoot a bow and be all, I'M THIRTY YARDS AWAY YOU CAN'T HIT ME!
IT IS SO COOL, I CAN HAVE MINIONS THAT I CAN NAME MYSELF eeeeeeeeeee
Now, which pets eat ice cream? (Rupnik, a level 19 bear, is a Good Bear, but he does not eat ice cream.)

Lunn is 2 bars away from lvl 20, and I have to say I like playing the hunter thus far. I've managed to solo mobs 5 lvls higher, and while it is a bit precarious, my pet doesn't mind dying every couple of fights. ;-) Now if I could only find the Holy Light healing spell which seems to have disappeared from my toolbar...

The hunter holy light is commonly referred to as bandages, hope that clears things up.

Hi all! As your new Huntress Wise Gal, I'm making an effort to get to know my fellow hunters a little better. Seems to me we have quite a few new hunters since Widget started this thread.
If you are absent from this thread, please post here what level your hunter is and what spec you are and any other info you'd like to tell me.
If you have already posted here, please edit your post to reflect any changes in your level or spec.
Thanks all!
