So what's everyone thinking of doing once the expansion hits?

Well, given the last Talent tree revision (10/12/06) this will be my build for the expansion providing I go with the Druid Feral/Restore

I will continue to be full feral, at least for a while and see how it goes.

I'll probably stick with my 11 points resto/rest of it in balance at first. Exactly how the balance tree goes depends on how useful those treants turn out to be.

Lunar Guidance and Dreamstate...unf.

Some good TBC news from a Hutner perspective:

"I did group with a druid to get some quests done, but he was Feral specced. The two of us together (me being BM) managed to fight off about 6 or 7 level 60-62 demons at once due to accidental pull + add + more adds halfway into the fight. Improved Leader of the Pack kicks total and complete ass."

I have NO idea what to do with my druid. I think I'll just take all her points away, join a BRD group, then get everyone killed. HA!

Umm... WOW.

Well...

I went and copied Jakiera over the the test realm this morning to try out the nifty new talent tree.

This is my current pre-patch talent build:

Current

and here's the one I will be using come Dec 5th.:

Post Patch

With the exception of a small (temporary) dip in healing power the new patch will give a HUGE improvement in my feral abilities. How much of an increase?

+20 DPS
30% reduction in shifting costs
Omen of Clarity
and the GODDAMN AMAZING Improved Leader of The Pack. This skill freakin rocks!

The only thing I will be losing is Nature's Swiftness. I'll pick Improved Rejuvenation back up once I grab Mangle.

I spent a lot of time farming Yeti's in Winterspring to get armor kits for that Darkmoon Amulet so I went back there to test out the new talent build.

WOW.

I'm primarily a Kitty Druid. Currently I can clear the cave in cat form with little hassle by attacking mobs one at a time and shifting out periodically to heal up. If I get an add it gets tricky and can sometimes require popping out for a Natures Swiftness + Healing Touch combo before finishing the mobs off. Nothing major, just time consuming shifting and topping off health.

With this new build I cleared the cave in less than half the time as usual. NO downtime. I was killing yetis so quickly I was often times beating the Stealth cooldown. Non-stop chain killing and ILoTP kept me at about 90% health the entire time - never once having to pop out to heal.
Decided to try and push things and see how I could handle two yetis at once. Never dropped below 75% health the entire time and never left cat form.
Omen of Clarity seems to have a decent proc rate as well.

So, I'm VERY happy with the talent tree that's coming tomorrow. If Blizzard fixed the Druid gear itemization with the expansion (word is good on this) then I'll be extremely happy with the state of the Druid. We'll still need some work but at least we can actually do SOMETHING decent outside of Restoration now.

I am already a kitty druid, and plan to continue on being one after this patch, and once BC comes out.

But concerning Omen of Clarity, from my experience, it wont kick in if your fighting in cat or bear form. You need to be in Elf form for it to have a chance to Proc.

Will all the talents (even the new ones at the bottom of the tree) be available with tomorrow's patch? I thought the new talents would come with BC.

All 41 talents will be available tomorrow.

The patch tomorrow is basically TBC without Outland.

For the balls-to-the-wall feral, 0/46/5

I might flip some stuff around because I lose a couple things I use somewhat often, like brutal impact.

Changed mine for now, I forgot about a couple skillz that are nice! 0/41/10

Come level 70, I will be something like this 0/47/14

It all depends on how good mangle is.

As of today, can you still use consumables in form?

Supposed to be a bug. They're "considering" giving us something like limited consumable use like Health stones.

Well, I suppose that's a better answer than "sucky Druids will get nothing, fuck off!".

I'm noticing that wowhead and blizzard's calculator's are different. wowhead said theirs was updated from bc beta on 12/1. Thoughts? I'm guessing blizzard's is correct for this patch but i wonder if these changes will happen in bc?

According to the CT mod folks, there are 3 different talent sets floating around. And they don't know which one will end up in live.

So make sure to review your talent choices after you log in today. Wowhead's tool could be completely wrong.

Looks like we'll be getting another talent reset next month unless Blizzard decides NOT to nerf ILoTP.
Currently it's a 6% heal but it was lowered in BC beta to 4% because it's a godly heal with the huge Stamina increase.
Also Blood Frernzy and Primal Fury are supposed to be combined into one skill.
Nurturing Instinct was also supposed to be lowered as well.

Guess we wait and see....
