Boards › Forum › Lions and Tigers and Giraffes, OH MY!
I'm off to Africa on Thursday!!! I will not have any internet access as I will be hanging with the animals in the Masi Mara (Kenya) and gorillas in the Congo (while avoiding the guerillas).
I have asked my fellow officers to post some runs for y'all while I am gone. I should be back in action August 22nd.
I'm gonna miss you guys!!

We're gonna miss you too! Have a blast; I've always wanted to take a trip like that, but it just doesn't seem to be happening...

Be sure to get all your shots before going and bring bottled water! I had a boss that went to the Congo last month and got sick there.

Monroe: That region of the Congo's uninhabited.
Dr. Karen Ross: Well, something inhabits it.
Dr. Peter Elliot: What exactly did you see on that tape?
Dr. Karen Ross: A camp destroyed. People dead. A grey gorilla...
Dr. Peter Elliot: There's no such thing as a grey gorilla.
Dr. Karen Ross: Well, I saw one.
Dr. Peter Elliot: It's hard to believe at this late date...
Monroe: Why are you going in there?
Dr. Karen Ross: Two men are unaccounted for: Geoffrey Weams, and Charles Travis, my fiance... My FORMER fiance.
Monroe: Your former?
Dr. Peter Elliot: Well, we better get to him then.
Bring me back a talking monkey!!

But really, you got me researching my own trip to Africa. Its something I'd like to do in the spirit of 'adventure'. I'd like to go see the REAL Ungoro crater (Ngorongoro) in Tanzania.
