Yes. I also would have accepted "Lone Wolf and Cub"
They watch Shogun Assassin at the end of Kill Bill 2, so Lyranne was close.
SA is a re-edit of the first 2 films in the Lone Wolf and Cub series. I'd say watch the originals. But they are all good.

It was originally a comic. Then it was adapted into 5 movies in the 70s. The films get progressively more ridiculous, but they are all fun.

Sweet! I should look that up. I have a bunch of the original comics (well, the original AMERICAN comics) and I've been reading them ever since I was young. Are the movies as bloody as the comic is? I guess they'd have to be or it wouldn't be Long Wolf and Cub.

Probably bloodier. I've only read the first few volumes of the comic.
