I'm kinda bored of WoW and don't fell like playing it much. I will start playing every day again when the expansion comes out. MY coworker got Warhammer and he is enjoying it. I might have to check it out.

I have gone back to playing Tabula Rasa, I like Sci-Fi I already have a fantsy game which is Wow and I have never been big on PVP which is one of the main draws of Warhammer.

I know long term I won't stay with Tabula as they are very slow to make any changes in it and there is almost no content one you hit L50. I can't see it lasting very long at that rate.

So YOU are the guy that is still playing that game! I was wondering who that was.

You know there is something utterly satisfying seeing a group of people back up then go splat under my targetted aoe barrage! <chuckles>

I tried WoW, while it is a good game with great content ... I found the PvP less than satifying. But then again, I'm use to raid size guild RvR runs ... now that's fun!

Oh trust me....we've done raid-sized pvp. Drunk. Naked. It's a blast (at least until we start to get sorely outnumbered).

It's just like Wow, can't be on both sides of a PVP server either and since Warhammer has a greater focus on pvp and rvr..

Like in most MMO's you cannot play all the factions on the same server, ie, Order vs Destruction. There are specific PvP servers, just as there are role play servers, and normal servers where names like Speed4U can be seen. All in all, its to hopefully prevent cross realming.

While there is alot of emphasis on RvR in Warhammer. That is not all of the game. You can certainly level up by PvE'ing, the Public Quests certainly offer a great deal of xp, and really decent gear. In fact, from my experience the PQ gear is actually better than the Renown (RvR) gear. As the levels progress, there are "lairs" aka dungeons to be crawled through, but I don't believe there are the massive time-taking multi-group dungeons like in WoW and Lotro. But! I'm not Tier 4 either.

All in all, Mythic tried to produce a game that hopefully satisfies a bit in all of us. Whether your style is the challenge of the PvE world and the destruction of the seemingly unbeatable boss mob or the RvR world standing on the ramparts of a keep or even the central city defending it from invaders, I think Warhammer is the game of the future.
