The only thing to beat that is the autographed picture I got of Patrick Stewart. But she's a total hottie. And smalllll.

When I went in it wasn't too bad... waited about 20 minute or so... But that said, it was the longest line in the room, and they had some pretty big names there.

One of the convention directors was keeping the lines straight and told us that they put her in the "small half" of the room because they were just thinking of her guest role on Buffy and Dollhouse, they had no idea that The Guild would draw her such a huge crowd...

Then a few minutes later a woman who was the organizer for a North Carolina convention came up and said, "Wow, I guess I'm going to have to make sure Felicia Day has more space when she comes to our con..." It was pretty funny, really.

They all do it differently.
For Shatner/Nimoy the pictures were free when you payed the $75 fee for the autograph (how generous of them...)
For some of them if you buy a picture for x price they will sign it for free, but if you just want an autograph it is $5 less...
And prices range from $15 (for Felicia Day) to $40 for Bruce Boxlietner and Kate Mulgrew to $75 for Shatner/Nimoy...
What also varies is the amount of time you can spend with them... If I had been interesting enough I could have spoken to Felicia for a while... I did talk to her for about 5 minutes... I talked to Stephen Furst for more than 10 minutes, but he only had 1 other person in line at that point...

Yea, the price range varied a whole lot. I managed to catch Malcolm McDowell at the end of the day and got an autograph for the girlfriend for 30 bucks. He looked tired as hell. It's funny that autograph's for Nimoy/Shatner were more expensive than Patrick Stewart ($60) yet pictures with Stewart were $200. Course, from what I heard, it was the first time he's ever done pictures.

Along with "Uncle Bill" and "Uncle Leonard" that's my mom, my sister and my brother.

So, here's the story:

My mom has a series of back injuries that lead to her needing a cane, and at events like this that would normally require a lot of walking she gets a motorized wheelchair. Its also nice because she insists on getting us to the fronts of lines.

Well, she thought it would be cool to get this picture taken of my brother and sister and me with Shatner/Nimoy, but she wasn't going to be in the picture. She decided she would get us the front of the line and then just move on out of the way.

So, when they called us up, my mom drove her wheelchair very fast in front of Shatner/Nimoy who both whipped their heads around and started making jokes about how fast she went by. Then they proceeded to spend the next few minute beckoning my mom to come back into the picture. The best part is they kept yelling, "Come on, Mom, come back!" She's always telling people to call her Mom, so we all got a kick out of Shatner and Nimoy calling her mom.

My mom couldn't say no to Shatner and Nimoy, so she came back for the picture and we ended up with what turned out to be a really fun family photo...
