We now have Trianya the Rune-Keeper and Dondoh the Hunter. I'm really liking the Rune-Keeper more than the Captain. We wanted to keep our names so we deleted our first toons that we weren't really liking. Then I felt like a Jerky McJerkface because after that I remembered Zirex gave me a sword. :/
I have a house in Bree-land. To get to the housing area, go out the south gate and follow the road south-east. Go past the yellow tree which is the big tree that the road wraps around. There will be some ruins on your right. Stay on the road heading east. The Midgewater Marshes will be on your left. Soon, you will see a road on the right headed south. There is a gate not far from where the path leaves the main road.
When you cross the gate, you will get to pick an instance. Go to Stackpole. Once inside, you will follow the road to the left and it's the second house on the left, Number 3 Long Street. I gave everyone that is in the Kinship permission to decorate or move decorations and to access the chest. Feel free to use the chest for guild storage for now. To go to decorate mode, there is a small icon on the upper right mini-map ring that toggles decorate mode.
I have some money and once the Kinship reaches the proper level, I will cough up the money to the leader to buy a proper Kinship house. Kinship houses have 3 chests. I don't know the price, but each chest must be unlocked by purchasing. Also, every Kinship member gets a return to Kinship ability that uses a travel ration, so this is also useful to make the Kinship house a base. The instance that the Kinship house is in gets discounts to the vendors so that is the best place to buy things that you need that are sold there.
Holler at me in Mumble when I'm around if you need an escort to the housing area.

Pull up your house info, accessed via your character (C), and it should tell you exactly where it's at without having to go there.
To everyone else, I also made a few things and placed in the chest in Stackpole. I have pretty much every crafter at a decent enough level to make anything up to about level 20, and some higher. Woodworker is currently the highest. I can make tools for all crafting professions at about the level 20 range and some higher level tools. Starting out, I should be able to get you a few things.

4 Harrow Road, Burrbridge, Shire Homesteads.
I only have 1 container and the decorations are all screwy. I'll need to figure that out.
But, the container is there.

Started up a Dwarf Champion today... My name is Grommley both in game and on Steam. I just started out and am still stumbling around the beginning...
When I started, I was supposed to follow Gandalf, but he wasn't there. I had to exit and come back in for him to appear. It kind of threw me off to start with because I wasn't entirely sure I missed something until I tried exiting and trying again and Gandalf appeared.

Just about everyone is an officer so we can all toss invites into VS, but you have to complete the prologue (~level 7) before we can.
I have a house in Bree-land.
I am going to burn your house down.

Yeah, I agree with Rastus that there is a bit of a steep learning curve getting into the game. But now that I've got a bit more of it down and I understand the quest tracking and crafting, it's a lot more enjoyable.
I don't know if anyone else played it, but this feels so much like Dark Age of Camelot to me, but just an upgraded version. I'm really enjoying the Minstrel class, but I do feel like I have SO many abilities and it's hard to juggle them all or know what to use. Plus a bunch of group skills I haven't even bothered to try out. I've been in my damage dealing mode, so learning to heal will be interesting.

What Vocations does everyone have? I keep getting items and recipes helpful to professions I don't have and I would like to send them to someone who can benefit. Trianya is an Explorer (the "Easily Lost" title is appropriate :P ), so tailor/miner/forrester. Dondoh is a Weaponsmith.
Anyway, I have some gems, candles, cooking ingredients, etc. that I would like to pass on.

Edited the OP to include a link to a shared google spreadsheet. You can edit/add your own info so we can all keep track.
Also, if you don't yet have a guild invite, make a note of that so we can look for you.

Is it possible to play an evil hobbit, one that causes other hobbits great confusion and delay?
I want to break into Mal's house dressed up as an Uruk-Hai wearing a pink speedo.
I will then punch Gandalf in his giblets whilst bludgeoning the Old Gaffer with his own staff.
If I see Sam I will dump out his "Special Seasonings" and mock him with a dead chicken.

Have you read Bored of the Rings, Pils? Mayhaps we can recreate it (I want to play Dildo or Legolam)

You actually can break into Mal's house and rearrange the fish on his wall.

Did this thread just take a turn toward the Pit?
I have noticed the player base for this game seems more friendly and mature than that of WoW. I haven't seen any toons named "Bilbofaggins" or "Orcpwner"...nor have I seen any Kinships named anything close to "Kackling Kunt Killers", all of which I have seen in WoW. I also have yet to see the word "niggaz" in any chat channel.

I am by no means a LOTRO expert but I can say that I've not seen this either. Ther've been my share of encounters with obviously young people but it's not been too bad insofar as you described. All in all, LOTRO has a lot of good and class players in it.
