One thing I don't like about this game...everything is life and death; frankly, it's bloody exhausting.
There is this goddamn bug that occurs frequently, that disables all your special attacks, turns on walk...yes walk, and only allows you to block.
You have to stop everything and open your inventory or map to make it go away.
In my mind that is pretty fucking game-breaking.
The game is not social at all, names are hidden and no one, I mean no one, says a fucking word.
I miss talking to intelligent humans, if you turn on zone, the goldsellers fill up your chat window.
Fuck, I had such high hopes for this game; and it has turned out to be the biggest grind of any MMO I have ever played.
Banking and inventory is the worst, bar none.

I will cast the first stone. WoW is better than ESO, by far.

I still have not had a chance to play enough to form an opinion. Hope to do that in the next few weeks. Hope to see at least some of you on at some point or another!
Dondoh and I keep going back and forth on this. We really miss playing games with everyone, but want to see if ESO is going to be around for a while, how well it's going to be supported, etc. It seems so many MMOs come out of the gate strong then fizzle out a half a year later.
Well I think that I will just stop after my free month. The game does not appeal to me; I have not taken part in any of the mass PvP, but that is not my bag, man.
How that game appears to me is one scene repeating itself over and over and over.
Loot all crates, barrels, sacks, bottles, food, drinks...open all desks, closets, locked chests, unlocked chests, urns.
Dig every iron node, pick every yute plant, chop every maple log, harvest every herb.
Every level from one to fifty, change zones, the material has different polygons, but the mechanics are the same.
Not one time have I laughed, or said "holy shit, that is awesome."
So this is probably the last time I will add to this thread, damn shame...so much potential this game had and they just mailed it in.

I've been playing it pretty constantly now and I am really enjoying it, its definitely not your typical MMO but what it is is an Elder Scrolls game. The zone chat spamming has gotten considerably better as of 2 days ago yet that doesn't stop the annoying "join my guild" spam along with conversation that lowers you IQ significantly.
Feel free to shoot me a friend request @Lazz315 always looking for good companions for chat and grouping.

I don't really know how to judge this. Zenimax is already giving out 5 free days game time, and the game is not even out of it's free 30 day span.
I sincerely hope that the subscriber numbers are not poor. I cancelled my subscription just because the game was not what I was looking for.
It is not a bad game; it's pretty, it works well, there are lots of mudcrabs, fairly robust crafting system, but fishing is hopeless, which will be the cause of its untimely demise.
Ah well...SOE is 14.99 for all their bloody games now; I may go loot some GLS and bonechips.

You could try Archeage, it's in beta. Looks interesting. Yes there is fishing.

That game looks cool, Mal. Send out the drones of the fighting class to get killed while I make tonnes of jack off the war effort.
Damn you Mal...DAMN YOU MALIGNER!

Whenever Everquest Next comes out, it is a whole new ballgame.
In my defense I did not link the game, only a video. :D
Are you trying it? I'm curious to hear about it from someone I'm familiar with.

Well I don't speak Russian, I am learning <slowly> Japanese, and I don't speak Korean.
So until they release an English version, I can just look at all of the cows and weep.
I think I saw a chicken also.

My big plan is to fake my death <robot assassination> dye my hair green, and go live in Japan as an otaku under the pen name Dick Jackman.
Well, I just told Zenimax what I thought of their product. I am curious if they will actually follow up, I highly doubt it.
