Clan is leaving. I assume Edra is doing the same.
"Obviously we have a very distinct difference of opinion, I would explore in full those difference so that we might better understand one another. However, as I am leaving the guild I won't have that opportunity.

We are all better off.
I'd like to move this to the VS eyes only forum if that is okay with everyone.

In a second. I need to move that image to the VS folder and not the VS officer folder.

ugh. A game shouldn't be giving me ulcers. I'm sorry this all went down the way it did.
I don't see it having gone down any differently. When you have SO many different personalities you are occasionally going to have conflicts. Best to squish them quickly and decisively.

Wow, that's crazy. I knew that Kari and Torrin were frustrated with them in Scholo, but I figured that was just part of it, and everyone had to babysit now and then. We did okay in Scholo once we got going, but it is definitely true that Clandara didn't want to listen to anyone else, and after a while we all just gave up and did whatever.
That said, I want to say right now that if I ever piss someone off in an instance badly enough that you don't want to group with me, please let me know. I am very willing to try and fix my behavior rather than miss out on grouping with some of you guys.

To set the record straight: they did indeed roll greed on two LF pieces, the belt and the gauntlets. They insist they didn't roll greed because they (and Pal and KT) used /roll rather than click the greed button. I'm sorry, but this is bullshit. It's exactly the same thing. You're not NOT greeding on a set piece just because you used /roll and it didn't SAY greed. That's a five year-old's semantic argument.
When the gauntlet roll came up, I asked them to please hold on while I checked to see if Ing had them, because Ing has been running MT for so long FOR THEIR BENEFIT. They were in a hurry, so I said someone should pick them up to send to the vault, and Clan said he would (I had this one in screenshot).

I am so oblivious to stuff, but this surprises me. Maybe it's because I'm a newbie but I have always gotten the impression that, while I may not understand your personal jokes, everyone's been very willing to help out. I'm always sorry that I don't have more useful stuff to chuck into the vault because my primary is not very high yet, but ah well.
I had just assumed that if you're intelligent to want to attempt to become a member of such a guild, you'd realize when your interests don't really coincide.
Hm. Anyway having grouped with Smoops recently, I'm curious to see the juxtaposition with what a foam-dripping dog Ashu can be. :)
I also agree with Ing. If my group behavior is irritaing, frustrating, or even slightly annoying let me know. I'm fairly clumsy and quite often blind to the obvious, so I'll take a kick in the pants ASAP instead of making huge drama waves like this.

I just wanted to say I think the officers handled it VERY well. I won't go into any analysis of Clan and Edra, needless to say I agreed totally with what Rin said. This guild is more of a family than anything else - we're doing a GREAT job with the instances, but it's a family, not a business enterprise.
And Ripp is freaking HILARIOUS!

I am VERY impressed so far with how well the officers here are balancing organization with casual... ness? Casu... ality? Not being hardcore? It's a really hard thing to do that, and I also want to say how much I appreciate all the work you guys do.
Whatever

... Ing, it just occurred to me that I am doing exactly what I said I would never do, which was join a guild with scheduled raids that were always at such-and-such a time.
What? We have scheduled raids? No one ever told me! -50 DKP...Oh, sorry...

You contribute with your awesomeness. I'm very happy that you and Raeb are here.
Quitting the guild in a huff, that is FIFTY DKP MINUS!
Someone had to say it. (Haha I see Zan already did, go me)

I will speak for myself, only, but I think there are a lot of people who feel the same way as I do. It wasn't just that he (I don't include Edra, I found her very pleasant) messed up a few times, or was bitchy one day or whatever. He was selfish, and greedy, and a know-it-all bastard who couldn't hear another's point of view or opinion if it crawled up his nose and imbedded in his ear. THAT was when the problems began to be discussed. We all have bad days, we all mess up. It was a clash of personalities and a dick. I don't think we have any other people like this in the guild at ALL. Which is why it stood out so clearly as a problem to be fixed, at which point Gleja, (newly promoted and doing a FINE job!) grabbed the reins and got the job done, very diplomatically I think. After all of his back circling and constant repetition I would have been insane trying to talk to him.
See, me, I switch personalities with the alts I have. And when I'm feeling like shit or whatever, somehow I always ended up pulling out my Rogue. And that's how she became known as the Guild Bitch. :D A title I relish. But with a name like Smoopsie.. well you just can't help but be adorable and a bit... off.
We've added some wonderful people to our guild, and the brilliant thing is, we're not all lvl 60 trying to be uber. We are all great players and contribute to the uber fantastic-ness that is Victorious Secret.

I feel better that I didn't notice fast, since I only went on one run with him. Sherica is right that everyone has bad days, and I just kind of figured he would grow out of it because it was a used-to-grouping-only-with-friends thing, and he would get used to dealing with more people. I was hesitant to say that our run went badly, because we did make it to Alexei.
What I really wish though? I wish I had a sound bite of the following ventrilo on our Scholo run:
Me: Maybe we should let Osh sap since he's a rogue?
Torrin: (Best tone ever) YOU THINK?!?!?!?
