I use swords and have kept up daggers skills for maybe later use.

I'm going back to swords. I was eyeing up the Epic PVP fist weapons (because I never see anyone with them) but I was looking at the swords and the speed on one of them is like 1.90 which would be a great off-hand weapon. Daggers are great for backstab, but I miss having swords, and these 2 are feckin' HUGE swords. Size matters :P

I just knew I needed to spell out the whole Assassination talent thing but I got lazy and thinking of Flaith at the same time...well its a man thing again. :D

I've been checking the AH here & there looking for any nice rings or necklaces for Gran and there's never shit on there for Rogues from what I can see.

Can anyone recommend where to get any 1/2 way decent rings, necklaces or trinkets for Rogues?

I saved up for months for a 19491 But 1200 tickets is not an easy task. 22340 Drops off Lord Valthalak, a very difficult summoned boss in UBRS. Which is not normally something that you'll have a chance to go for but right now there are several people in the guild that are almost at this point in their dungeon set upgrade quests. I know I don't personally need the necklace so if you're up for helping any of the people that will need to kill him soon you will have a shot at it.


As far as rings go. If you like pvp you can go for 19325. If you don't, the easiest kickass ring to obtain is 18500. This thing is one of the rewards for doing a Tribute Run in Dire Maul North. For every boss you don't kill another great item will appear in the tribute chest when you kill the king. (It is occasionally difficult to convince PUGs that the rewards for the bosses are better if they are NOT killed) I've been on about 6 tribute runs and seen the ring drop 3 times. If you need more info on the tribute run let me know or ask me ingame.

For trinkets you could start by getting a 18465 if you can find yourself a 18356 on the AH. 13965 is a reward for Killing the UBRS boss after getting an item that drops off the LBRS boss.

And I second that link Linnaris linked. It's a little out of date on some things but it does have some really great stuff listed.

I do have Don Julio's Band & all the AV stuff. I'm just looking to upgrade my other ring & necklace, maybe pick up a trinket if possible. I may have to do Dire Maul because I know the Felhide Cap drops there too.

Damn I know rogues are supposed to be quiet, but we're too quiet. Since nobody's said too much since expansion, how is everyone making out gear wise?

I'm still using the Grand Marshall's Sword & the Lobotomizer as I haven't come across anything with more DPS from quests (or AH) yet. The socketed Cenitron Mask you get in Zang is nice, and the socketed Chest piece you get for being Honored with them looks nice also, I plan on picking that up this week.

Anyone come across any other handy rogue armor / weapons?

The Gunblade off AH. 3 were on sale and none had bids. I tracked down one of them and offered him 100g instead of the 150 min bid he had up. Got it COD in the mail the next day.

Make sure you get better ammo when you can:
Blackflight ArrowWarden's ArrowAdamantite Shells Those last ones are crafted by engineers. They may be tough to get a little further down the line but right now many engineers are making them just to skill up so you may be able to find some for a pretty good price.

Vest of Vengeance drops off Keli'dan the Breaker in the Blood Furnace. This thing rocks I tried to replace it with the vest from Cenarion Exposition and bought some gems for it. Only to find out that Vengeance is still better.

The rest of my gear is pretty much whatever "Of the Bandit" I can find.

I don't have that many instance drops. I've been so busy with quests that I haven't been able to run most instances more than once.

But if you want to see a really easy breakdown of what could drop in them go to www.wowwiki.com. Once you're in one of the instance breakdowns you'll see links on the right side of the page for each boss. Each link will show you all the boss's rare drops for normal AND heroic modes.

I have the Scout's Hood & Bladefist's Breath. Those daggers look nice though The Blade of Unquenched Thirst looks sweet and comes close to the Grand Marshall's sword I have, and would be nice with Crusader on it.

The Gunblade is also sweet, I think Euls linked it a week or so ago. I take it someone at Blizz was really into Final Fantasy VIII because that's what Squall's weapon was.

That's the other reason I bought it.

The other nice thing about the Dagger is it's speed. It's great for an offhand poison applier

So with Cataclysm I am sort of looking at 7/31/3 to keep along the same sort of playstyle I use now. Any suggestions?

I'd move the two points in deadly momentum (assassination tier 1) to lethality and the point from reinforced leather (combat tier 3) to lightning reflexes. But that's just me. :)

I suppose being the only mutilate rogue.... Im on my own to figure this new stuff out. :)

I haven't made any decisions until they finish balancing classes.

After that happens I'll start reading up on Elitist Jerks to see what's what.
