Also, I think this is a good time to say that I'm a little uncomfortable with the Lifers being able to see our post-raid stuff and call Gleja a greedy whore.

I know that's sort of hypocritical because I wouldn't be nearly as annoyed if, say, AGNES called Gleja a greedy whore, but that's because we've been playing together a long time.

I suspect it's supposed to be a joke, but we don't know them well enough for that kind of joke yet. It's like Val calling me a whore versus someone I barely know calling me a whore. I figured she was joking too and just really dry -- because I mean ... ... god, she was THERE, no one can be THAT stupid -- but I think that's Ing's point about 'too much familiarity too soon.' As far as I'm concerned, we're still mostly strangers, so making a crack like that and not going out of your way to make it funny (just for example's sake, using :) instead of :P would have done wonders) is a bad bad idea.

I agree with Aro on the whole familiarity thing, even though I wasn't there. People need to chill for a while when such an Alliance starts and get to know each other first.

And Val - Your fees are acceptable, since your mom brings in more than enough for me.

That's why I'm glad that Aro pointed out to me who it was that made the post, I also think it was supposed to be funny, and I amended the post really fast once I realized that the poster had been on the raid.

I was only irritated until I realized that it wasn't some random person who wasn't there and didn't know the joke, and then it was just the too much too soon thing. I have amended the post to reflect this and will apologize if I hurt the poster's feelings, since I did jump to conclusions.

But I do think this is also a valid thing, that it's too much too soon. I don't know if there is anything we CAN do to address it, really. If there is yay, but if not, well, it's out there.

There's a very fine line that always gets crossed when people start choosing what offends them and what doesn't, especially when they are in a group of comfortable strangers. Better to just go all out and be ALL offensive. Like Ben!
