In my very first night in VS guild chat, Brown was talking about something. I don't remember what. All I remember was he said, "No, it's a big black dick and tiny white balls."
Hello new and old VS'ers,
Name: Ishtar (Just call me Ish)
Class: Holy Priest
Race: Night Elf
Faction: Your Side!
Profs: Alch/Herb (you need it, i'll brew it)
Reputation: Local Drunk, Rock Star and Sexual Offender (well maybe not that last part, but we all have dreams)
No really I heal my VS in any run. You got quest, instances, fuck you just want to run around drunk and get into trouble...I'm there. Just call on me, even the Alts, I have no problem running people through any instance at any level. I always put the VS runs before anything I need, that's just the way i roll.
I cant remember how long I have been with VS, long enough to know that I love them, and I'll stab you in your face if you hurt them.
I do normally (when on) hang out in the vent, so if you want to hear some boring ass shit jump in, we can cozy up next to the mic and chat away as we roam the vastness in all it glory.
I have been out of the loop for the past 4 months, so there are many of you I have not met, hopefully this will all change.
So lets get drunk and fuck up our gear!

"The VS runs" sounds like something that results from too much pie or leads to a lower GI.

Hi I am Maeli. Tank by choice....joined VS a few months ago and live in Victoria BC.
In RL I fix comps and deal with DAU's (Dumbest Assumable Users). And in my time off...I try to keep Grayce under my wings.

*peeking out from Maeli's wings* And I be Grayce :) I live in Northern VA, right outside Georgetown in Wash DC. I have a 73 holy priest (who is rebeling at the moment and trying to wreak havoc with shadow), a 70 NE hunter and a host of low levels that I don't seem to have much time for lately lol.
I enjoy playing WoW and doing instances here and there (Grayce, Maeli and Bartoo leveled to 70 nearly entirely on instances) and I'm having a great time exploring the gorgeous new areas of Northrend. Generally, I'm not a big raider and not terribly level-obsessed, although I *am* the self-proclaimed Queen of Fishing and dayum proud of it lol.
I tend to be on the quiet and somewhat shy side most of the time (SHUTUP Maeli & Bartoo! it's true lol), but have also been known to be very outspoken when the mood strikes. :)
I'm also always very happy to help whenever I can, so never hesitate to whisper me if you need anything.

I didn't feel like writing out a wall of text, so I copied this 'all about me' which I had written previously. If I am left with a giant blank space, it fills up WAY too quickly and this sort of thing keeps me in line, and is also a little easier to read (and more fun for me to write). The other ones were sort of older and I didn't feel like filling out two of almost the same.
Names we know you by: Agasaya, but my real name is Meg (feel free to call me that instead)
Location? Ilsan, South Korea (just outside of Seoul)
Where in the world do you most want to visit? I will be backpacking Southeast Asia when I am done in Korea. Cambodia, Loas, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, etc. I would also LOVE to go to India, and in an ideal world I would like to backpack the middle east, but that isn't a good plan right now.
Food you never seem to get tired of? Sashimi. I could eat toro every day. I could also never get sick of a goof ribeye or any other kind of delicious meat
Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity? If yes, who? Kate Winslett and/or Rachel Weisz. I am not sure about that being true though.
What do you drive? Nothing. I take the insanely efficient and fast bus and/or subway!
What would you rather drive? Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss (changed this answer after recently reading this: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/exotic/112_0812_mercedes_benz_slr_stirling_moss_first_look/index.html)
What celebrity do you find most attractive? Orlando Bloom, Justin Long, Shia LaBeouf (sort of?), and Brandon Boyd
It's Friday night (there is no raid) and you have money in your pocket, what are you doing? Drinking beer and playing screen golf. I used to hate beer but now I really enjoy it.
You are PvPing? what are you listening to? Muse, Arcade Fire, The Kooks, Led Zeppelin, or anything classical
You are in your Car (or room, whatever), what are you listening to? Same as above but include jazz (I also like acid jazz)
Coolest thing (to you) that you have ever done (or most memorable moment/time in your life)? Teaching HIV Awareness in Rural Namibia to highschool students, also got to trek around the country which is just totally incredible. More recently, seeing terracotta warriors and understanding what 'China Rising' really means. What an absolutely amazing country
What is something that you are afraid of? Although I have been on hundreds of planes, I despise flying and need to drink/drug myself to stand flights.
Favourite Movie(s)? Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Suspicion, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and any epic war movie like 300, Gladiator, Braveheart, etc. I also really like a well done comic book movie.
Favourite Book(s)? 1984, Animal Farm (Orwell) Brave New World (Huxley), Infadel (Ayaan Hirsi Ali), America: The Book (Stewart and Daily Show), Pillars of the Earth, World Without End (Follet), Gulliver's Travels (and essays) (Jonathan Swift). As for non fiction there are a few, but anything really to do with politics or cultural understanding
Favourite TV Show(s)? Colbert Report, Daily Show, Project Runway, Nip/Tuck, Planet in Peril, almost every show on Discovery Channel
Coke or Pepsi? Coke Zero (Korean)
Dogs or Cats? Definitely Dogs
Cake or Pie? Cheesecake or any good Chocolate cake
What does your character name mean? Agasaya: A Semitic war goddess, and a warrior of the sky. It seemed fitting and I really enjoy old world names from mythology
Why did you start playing WoW? I used to have house tournaments of WC3 with my roommates second year university. WoW seemed like a natural progression considering WC3 got boring when I got my ass kicked so often.

Hi guys!
Some of you might know me and most might say "Who the hell is Fealane? I've never seen this toon in the guild before". Well that's understandable, I'm a really shy person & usually don't talk much in guild chat. I have been known to jump from 1 game to another overnight (Which Iâm really sorry about that since i have probably let some people down in the past). Even though Iâm online a lot, I consider myself as a casual gamer that like to do some raids/instances. I usually play with Lenlador (Real Life Best friend).
Played a wide range of MMO (EQ1, EQ2, EQ Online Adventure (PS2), Dark Age of Camelot, Starwars Galaxy, Wow, Warhamme online, etc...).
I joined VS roughly around 2006. Got to know VS and its charismatic players (Sapph, Fox, Agnes, Frenial slowman and many more). They showed me what a guild was all about. I also had a lot of fun doing Kara.... Thanks guys & I missed doing instances with you all.
My Main character is Fealane (level 80 Priest). My Alts are Kilai (78 Rogue) & Euracia (70 Deathknight unguilded).
Since Iâm 80 now (took me a freaking long time to get there) I might try to post for some raids and Heroics. If anyone sees me online and need some help to do any instance, send me tells. I don't guarantee anything but I want to try to give to the guild a bit more in 2009. I think that it deserves it.
Also, we did our 1st Heroic instance last night....... Nexus sucks! So we did UK instead and we did it. Great Job guys!
Hope to group with all of you.

Ok, so I figured I should probably update my brief entry in one of those old threads... I'm still doing the same job (IT Manager) at the same place. :eh:
I'm one of the earlier members of VS and have been on and off again for a few years, venturing out to try the various cliches like hardcore raiding, horde, pvp server, etc. I met some cool people along the way and a few have followed me back here to the unique curiosity which is VS.
Frenial and I went to University together, and I'm also in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where the temperature was around -30C or lower last week. My wife logs in very occasionally (Oryk), and we have 2 little ones now (3 yrs and 4 months). I'm waiting for the day when I can get them to fish for me. ;-)
I'm still fairly hard-core with regards to improving my toons, however I've pulled back on the raiding; I like the shorter heroic runs with friends.

Maublitz is my main and healing is his game! Yes I know it's old and corny but it still works. So I've been playing for like almost 2.5 years,/hugs/thanks to Twistle and Oriole for showing us the game, they also introduced me to VS the best guild ever! I have 2 other alts in the guild Morlachai, a 55 warlock and Baumlitz, a 58 Deathknight. I have other alts as well but there not important right now.
In RL my name is Sean and Iâm married to Mishkarah. I'll let her introduce herself later. I love anything and everything Star Wars. When I was 21 a friend told me I was born on the same day way back when the very first Star Wars movie premiered in theaters so I don't celebrate my birthday any more, even though everyone around me does, I celebrate the anniversary of Star Wars and in 2009 Star Wars will be 32:) and it's still the best set of movies ever made! GEORGE LUCAS RULES!!!!:D I like to keep an open mind to new things, movies, books music but not country cause I can't stand the sound of it, and Shania Twain is the only exception cause she does not sound like country and also cause she is so F*in HOT!(sorry for the language)
I live in Ottawa Canada, A.K.A. Igloo country, and am perfectly fine with being the Canadian redneck that I am. Mish hates that side of me so he stays home when we go out and the normal part of me comes out. If you can call it normal. I don't post much on the site cause I am also a quiet one but I do like guild chat online and try to be involved as much as possible when we don't have connection issues. I'm always willing to heal any group I can get into even the occasional PUG unless I already have plans and Mish is pretty good at telling me what my plans are.(huh? what? oh sorry dear!)
Anyways if you need a kick ass paly healer for a quest, Group/pug or raid/pug send me a tell and Iâll ask the wife if I have time!

WARNING!!! WALL OF TEXT ALERT!!!
Hello, my name is Joelle (pronounced Joe-L), I live in Ottawa, Canadaâs national capital city. I am a sniveling servant so I am pretty stressed out most of the time and use WoW mostly to vent those frustrations.
I have played a few MMORPGs such as Diablo, Diablo II, EQ1 and now WoW. I was introduced to EQ1 by Twistle but had to wait until I could get the game to actually play, by which time EQ2 was so close on the horizon that I never got past level 10. I played one of the feline race characters in the game.
Many moons after I stopped playing EQ1 in favour of Sims and TSO, Twist informed me that he had discovered the coolest game everâ¦World of Warcraft. He offered many times to send me a free trial but I refused on the grounds that I really couldnât justify spending $20 a month on a game.
One day I went to visit Twist and Oriole at their home and Twist convinced me to just come have a look at WoW. As I watched him play I began to become intrigued and when Oriole showed me that I could become a hunter with my own attack pet to fight at my side I began to soften. I was still quite skeptical about spending money every month on a game, but Twist convinced me to accept a 10-day free trial and just give it a try.
By day two of my free trial I was hooked and went out immediately to purchase the game. My first ever character was Mishkarah â the name doesnât mean anything, I just liked the sound of it. Watching me play, my then live-in boyfriend decided that he wanted to try it as well. He created his first toon on my account, and Maublitz was born.
After weeks of playing on a strict time-share schedule, we decided to spend the money to purchase a pc for him so that we could each have our own accounts. $45 for the game, $500 for the pc and $20 per month to play no longer seemed like such a big deal, even if you double it.
While waiting for Maublitz to be transferred to my BFs account I created a human Warlock to see if I liked them as much as hunters. After 18 levels I decided that Warlocks were not for me and would have simply deleted her except that Maublitz pointed out that we needed the bags and she was our only tailor.
So Maub took over Morlachai and she is now his level 55 lock. I went through a few random alts which never really lasted very long. I created an NE druid to see if being an animal was as fun as commanding one and also to compliment another alt of Maublitzâs named Annakin, her name was of course Padmay.
I still have poor Padmay but donât play her as much as I should. My next alt that survived my fickle nature is known to the guild as Phaidra, but started her life as Phædra â Blizz made me change her name as it was against the naming policy at the time. She is a Draenei survival hunter â yes two huntersâ¦I wanted to see how the different trees worked without respeccing all the time.
I have several other alts that I plan on getting around to leveling; both so that I can take advantage of their professions and to be available to help out no matter what kind of toon is needed. Unfortunately, as I have mentioned I am fickle.
I started out in a guild called Wrath of the Minions where I met many great people who have either stopped playing or turned into jerks. I have one friend to whom I still speak named Warmage who is a great guy and always willing to stop whatever he is doing to help me out with an emergency port.
I joined VS at the urging of Twistle and Oriole since the guild that Maublitz had started and I had eventually joined, never really got beyond our humble beginnings. Having co-lead a small guild and trying to keep everyone happy while still accomplishing something of my own, I have great respect for our leaders in VS.
In real life I am the mother of two wonderful kids who are 8 and nearly 13. My eldest is just as addicted to WoW as I am and has been playing MMORPGs since he was two (Diablo). He is amazing at PvP and often will enter a BG at a low level â like 10 â to taunts of âL2Pâ and ânoobâ but comes out of it with the top scoreâ¦I have no idea how. I twink him up whenever I can, but until recently he hasnât been able to really claim that title.
My daughter would love to play WoW simply to fit in with the rest of us, but her main play-style seems to be ârun-around-naked-and-get-killedâ. She is miss popularity and pretty much the only one in our family who can claim to be ânormalâ. I really have no idea how this came to be seeing as how she comes from a long line of geeks, wallflowers and freaksâ¦maybe she gets it from somewhere on her fatherâs side.
I read so much that I have trained myself to be able to walk and read at the same time. Many of my coworkers â particularly the security guards â find it absolutely amazing that I can walk through doors, swipe my pass, catch the elevator and find my desk, all without ever having my eyes leave the page. I like sci-fi, drama and adventure novels, but tend to read mostly romances as I can buy a tonne of them at any used book store quite cheap.
I like movies, but am extremely critical of any movie for which I have already read the book. I feel that it is an affront to any talented writer to compromise their work in any way and Hollywood is infamous for it. I like the classics and have read many such as shakespere, Gone with the Wind and the Illiad and the Oddessy.
I have studied human behavioural patterns, psychology, design, religions, and literature. I love science, art, and the parts of history that donât revolve around battles. My favourite designer of all time is William Morris, my favourite style of architecture and design is Art Nouveau, my favourite book is The Black rose by my favourite author Thomas B. Costain.
I like pretty much any kind of music except the gangsta rap that deals with shooting the cops and beating their âbitchesâ, or scream to the point where noone has any idea what the hell you are singing about heavy metal/punk.
I have no secrets, and according to some of my friends, no shame. I donât believe in lieing and thanks to an Ex who was a compulsive liar can see through most lies I am being told. I am an open book to anyone and donât believe in keeping secrets, so ask me anything, just be prepared for an honest and blunt answer.
Now, I am getting that look from the hubby stating that I have been typing for far too long, so I will leave you with thatâ¦if you want to know more, send me a tell.
