I did the budweiser tour many moons ago. I recall liking it, and even though the tasting is bud products, they're better at the brewery than anywhere else. That said, I don't have a strong preference wrt the brewery tour or the riverboat.

Is there booze on the boat?

OK, so the deal on the Budweiser tour:
Apparently you can't get the super cool, down to the production floor tour with more than 10 people. We are officially more than 10 people...
The free tour takes about an hour or so and there is still free beer at the end of the tour.
To answer Torrin's question: No booze on the boat.
I am in the midst of planning a training event at work that will take place the end of next week. When that is done, I will work up some survey questions to narrow down exactly what we want to do and get those posted.

You should all head out to Ted Drewe's and get some fucking awesome custard.
I am all about the food activities.

And you DEFINITELY want to be sitting next to Agnes when she's enjoying dessert. I got a contact high from her endorphins.

I will never be able to look at pasta the same after Toronto.
I honestly don't go on vacation to drink or site-see. I AM SOLELY THERE FOR FOOD.

I haven't started planning food yet. I love to find great places to eat as well. When Guerrior and I would travel in my old job we always tried to find the best restaurants around where we were.
And the number one topic of discussion at lunch is always: "What's for dinner?"

Thats pretty much how I like to travel as well. I am also a fan of the drinking and partying, but food is definitely the priority.

So, speaking of food...
I will probably just post a restaurant every night and folks can choose to join us, or not.
But at least one night, I thought I would pick a nice restaurant. But before picking one, I wanted to make sure we weren't dealing with any unusual food allergies, or something that should keep me from picking a specific restaurant...
I don't want to pick a Brazilian Steak house if I'm the only one that eats meat, for instance... Or a sushi restaurant if people can't eat fish...
So, if you are planning on coming and you have any "I hates!" or food allergies, let me know between now and well probably the end of next month... lol

Seconded.
Love Indian.
DO NOT LIKE SEAFOOD.
DO NOT LIKE SEAFOOD.
I love almost everything. Indian would be good. So would Brazilian. So would sushi (although I bet there are many people who wouldn't like that). I'd also be up for a good steak or burger or pasta or pizza... dammit now I'm hungry!

There is a pretty good chance I will be passing through St. Louis on my way back home from Chicago that Sunday. The Mrs and I are still working out the details, but I could definitely go for some Indian food.
I MIGHT even be able to talk the lady into coming with me, but I think she might be spending the day with some other friends in St. Louis and leaving me to my own devices.

Just a reminder. If your coming to VS Fest, book your rooms soon.
Our room block pricing is only good through June 26th.
I will be posting sign-ups for events and such soon.
If you have any ideas of things you would like to fit in, let me know.
I have Indian food one night as a food option (which Arachne is protesting, but I told her she'd have find something or I'd buy her a Happy Meal to bring along).
More coming soon!

I'm not 100% sure I can make this, but I'd love to try for it. If I do end up going, I will have at least 2-3 more seats in my car for transportation.
Hom, is there a way we could go to Zia's again? Mmmm...Zia's.

You just liked the Port! Lol!
But I will probably suggest that, I think Italian is pretty agreeable.

I guess a tour of a candy store is also needed since we apparently don't have half the crap you guys have.
