Might there be a Ferengi player class?

Running the AH in WoW is becoming stale; I even caught myself thinking that I have enough fake money, which is utterly unacceptable.

Ferengi isn't yet a playable class, though I've seen it kicked around as a future possibility by the devs. Even still, you can choose 'alien' as your race and the range of customization options is mind-blowing. I've had more than a few hours of fun just seeing what kinds of demented hellspawn I could get out of the creation screen.

I wish there was a trader class... ... ...come to think of it there is not a trader class in any MMO anymore.

Probably because bots would exploit it and ruin it as usual. EQ2 comes as close as you can get; but they are just like rep based dailies.

The time factor does make it interesting.

What's the status of the game? I let my "free month" pass without renewing. From what I've read, there's been no real changes to the content and it doesn't sound like any serious additions are coming any time soon.

They're adding the equivalent of a new 5-man every week or two and are about to go live with the first content/gameplay patch, with another already lined up behind that.

The devs are also blitzing the forums and getting pretty involved with user suggestion threads. You can find a lot of 'blue' posts lately.

Expect a steady stream of improvements and content release over the next few months. It definitely launched as a buggy game but I'm pleased with how quickly Cryptic is responding to user feedback and constantly working on improving and fixing. I just hit admiral and I'm having a blast in my new T5 Fleet Escort :)

I am enjoying some of the gameplay so far. Afk bought the game and I have been playing on her account to see if I felt like spending the money on it too. So far I might just steal hers since she doesn't seem to be getting into the game. :)

I tried to give STO a chance, but after about a week, I found myself literally drifting off to sleep while playing. It has promise, but right now its a little light on the content.
