Pity, I don't have a zombie costume ready for this year.

What could be easier to put together? I mean, the really awesome ones take a lot of work, but your run-of-the mill walking dead? Piece of cake! (Or pie, depending on your preferences.)

So I live in Alpharetta, which is roughly 25-30 min away from dowtown, but if anyone wants to drink or whatever at my place on Saturday night it would be awesome and lots of fun! Dondoh and Trianna are staying with me and I will be forcing Fox, Kae, and Sapph to be there so more people should come and drink! My floor is nice and soft and I have a couch for people to pass out on!

I would like to try and specifically try and organize something for that Saturday night. I know myself, Trianna, Dondoh, Sapph, Kae, Fox, and Dalwin will be there. The more the merrier!!! Lets make this happen!!!!!

$400 round-trip flight. And I'd only need to take one day off work...
Hmmm..... register my car or fly to Atlanta......???

Out of curiosity, when are other people going to be arriving in Atlanta? My flight is scheduled to arrive at 8:45 pm. Anyone else going to be getting to the airport around then?

My flight lands at 1 pm Thursday. Current plans for Thursday include swearing off future air travel and drinking.

Meet you at the bar after I get through registration. Which hopefully will be before happy hour(s).

I think they are opening registration at around 2 on Thursday. If past experience is any indicator, that should be your first stop. They are changing the way registration works this year, but I'm not convinced its going to be any better than before... before, registration lines could take anywhere from 1-4 hours to get through... So the sooner that's taken care of the better, imho...

Sounds like a plan. My cell number's on Facebook should you need it.
Of course, this is all provided I survive my second natural disaster this week.

I don't plan to attend DCon, but I may come to Atlanta for a night or two to meet some of you guys and get up with some friends. I neglect the ATL far too often to be as close as I am.
I will be arriving Friday night but don't know if I'll be going to the Con at all. So if anyone wants to hang out during the days, send me a PM and we'll exchange info!
The plan for Saturday night is to party at Nephewcake's place for any VSers interested. Send him a PM if you want to come drink with us and he can give you his address, etc. Otherewise, we'll hopefully see you all at Whirlyball on Sunday!

Dondoh and I are headed out early Saturday morning, we should be there sometime early afternoonish. I don't think we're going to the con either, so we'll kidnap Sapph.

I plan on driving up Friday morning and parking at the Dunwoody Marta station. I should be at Peachtree station by 9:30ish.
I have my Con ticket but nothing in particular I plan on attending besides maybe trying to get a Terry Brooks book signed. The whole Con thing three days straight may surpass my geek level so I'm on for some other activities.

At VSFest, we used WhatsApp, a smartphone app, to keep in touch. It worked great except that it was limited to a certain number of people in a group (9 or 10 if I recall correctly). Is anyone aware of another app that would do the same thing but allow all of us to be in the group? I know I've seen mention of other similar apps over the last few weeks, but I didn't pay enough attention at the time!
ALSO, the DragonCon app is out. It's pretty great.

I would just like to get an app that tells me where Amonsul is at all times. He was a slippery bugger at VS Fest...

I think Beluga is what you're looking for. It basically lets you make a private chat between a bunch of Facebook accounts. PLUS it'll have me singing Raffi to myself whenever I get a push on my iPhone.
Downside is, it's only for iPhone and Droid. Suck it, Blackberry owners? Hm. Also, I've never used it, but it's free so if anyone wants to help test it out LEMME KNOW. I can't go back to sleep until I forget the rum-soaked nightmare I just had.

It helps to be slippery if your a bugger.
Seems like I've always had the ability to fade in RL. I think I was a druid/priest in a past life...Druid reformed, we are allowed to pray to bushes.
Maybe I was just slipping out for a smoke.
Also, I'm way in left field with a Windows phone....what's up with that?
