I talked the guy who had the name Gallus on Ebon Hawk into giving it up so now I am either Gallus or Pragus on Ebon Hawk.
I made contact with the enemy...filthy Sith pie-eaters. I used the force to throat-punch Agnes on a different planet.
My communication went like this...I made some stupid imperial name...Darth Frenial I think
Darth Frenial: Piss off you Imperial bullies!
Agnes: When...now?
Darth Frenial: <---Pils
Agnes: God I hate you, Pils...YOU SUCK!
Darth Frenial: BZZZAP! (the force makes that sound)
Agnes: choking sounds...gurgle gurgle...

I'm thinking about creating a Republic guild named "Agnes Stinks".

What character names are they playing? I did a search for Killian and didn't get any results. Oh, I gotz my starship today. Had an irritating droid on it!
Search "Dominicide" on Imperial side.
I'm super curious how you like the game Pils? Or anyone else that plays it for that matter.

I love it. The story really pulls you in. It appears Pils deleted his character though. I think he might have gone Nazi on me.

It was only a matter of time. What do you expect from a Death Knight wannabe with a hankering for fishmongery?

Not So! I am fucking working, man.
I am known as "The Outlaw Powell"; I urinated on a Sith Light Saber and I didn't get shocked.
Besides...I don't know if Don's crew would have me regardless; which is understandable as I have not always been the most stable player.

Did you say "player"?

I suppose that I could say "pomegranate" or "basking shark"; but I think "player" is more fitting.

Same, I think the story is fantastic especially with the voice acting and cutscenes.

Maligner,
If for nothing else you want to play this game for the story. I am about halfway through the trooper story and find myself looking forward to the next round of quests to see how the story progresses. The mere fact that they made independant story lines for each class from 1-50 is mindblowing. The minor quests will be for everyone but there is a major quest for each class both imp and republic and I can't wait to work on some alts to see how thier story goes.
Think of it as a single player quality game that has online multiplayer casue really thats what it is. It feels like I am playing a mix of kotor and mass effect. The space battles are more like freelancer than xwing but fun just the same. Pvp is a mixed bag, some of the maps are run of the mill but I always have fun when huttball is my random. :)
The game has some flaws but nothing game breaking. Overall the playability is solid for a launch date release and with the resources behind this game I only see it getting better.
gah, end wall of geek text.

WE HAVE A NEW RECORD!
From purchase to apathy in 15 days. I certainly hope others can find what I did not in this game. Maybe I'll pick it back up in six months.

So.... Once you kick your first sith in the nuts, it's all down hill from there huh?

Amon, I am very fickle; maybe I missed something, I don't know. I am not going to shit on the game, it is not a bad game, just not the game for me.

You may be having a general gaming apathy spell. I know I am. I've been very moody game-wise lately. I picked Dwarf Fortress up again and the second time my mason built a wall sealing himself in a hole with no exit, I shut that damn thing down. My patience for bugs and stupidity is pretty thin. Maybe it's because I deal with all of those things and more in real life and would like my games to be pleasantly fun and not exasperating?
I'm curious to see where SWTOR ends up in a few months too. Lots of games are free to play right now. Star Trek is launching free the 17th this month. Not saying you should try it just that it's another option.

I have to admit it is setting in for me. Loved it at first but once you hit the 30s things slow to a crawl. There are a couple 50s in my guild and all they do is pvp. Seems like the endgame needs to bake some more so I am in no rush to max out.
I guess my biggest peeve, though its is admittidly minor, is the voice acted cutscenes that were cool in the 1-20s level range are now mainly spoken in an alien tongue that you have to read the translation to understand, WTF is the point in that? It isn't immersion: I just feel like someone took my yummy new candybar and handed me an old poopstick.

My best guess is that, at it's core, it's an MMO clone which isn't a shock to anyone watching development. The devs said early and repeatedly that you don't mess with successful forumlas, ala WoW. The players that hate it call it a WoW clone.
My biggest issue that snuck up on me is that I like alts and in this game playing alts is a pain because there are only 2 starter worlds and all characters follow the same basic progression beyond the first ~10 levels. So, by the third character you are probably bored despite the different story lines.
In reality, it's just a huge mountain to climb to make the game most of us want. I'm not mad about it, I'm just thinking I need to wait for more. Of course, I did that with STO and without paying to support these games, they lose their creative focus and the games "sell-out" so it's a tough thing to balance between supporting a game you see promise in and throwing money down a rat-hole. As far as SWTOR, I think missing guild functionality and the tunnel-style space missions (though fun in their own right) as well as a somewhat shallow or rebaked MMO style make this game get old pretty quickly. I am taking my time, taking breaks now and again and it helps as I'm in no rush to reach the end but it also makes wanting to play not that enticing knowing that the coolest features could be months, years or even expansion expenditures away.
And now for something completely different:
For a neat if somewhat redundant distraction, check out te4.org for a rogue-like with some interesting options.

I have my char at 45 and find myself struggling to care enough to keep leveling him. Once you hit the 30s, that single player feel starts to wear off and the grind sets in. Shame, Bioware used to put out must haves but I gotta say, I found ME2 lacking and the last DA was an insulting joke.
EA just posted a $6 stock drop due to concerns that SWTOR wasn't doing as well as expected. Knowing EA, pretty sure we'll be seeing some major revamps in a breakneck attempt to regain that loss. I can't imagine anything they come up with will make the game better in the long run, more likely a short term scheme to get more subscribers so they can unload it on someone else.
