Also, all of my heals are about 300 hp higher than they are on live. Not sure where that's coming from.

HA HA HA. I r teh dumz. Greater Heal rank 5 is trainable in the expansion, so all of my heals are now one rank higher than they are on Live. Hence the higher amount healed. Dur.

This patch will come out on 12/5. So you have 1 week left to grind that faction.

Crap.... Two more battlegrounds last week and I would have made rank 8 before it was too late.

According to the blue post that article refers to, they'll be running one last honour calculation before the patch, so you can still make it if you want, Fox....

You can get the rank, but you can't buy any rewards.

Oh, once you manage to download the patch, the damn thing takes about an hour to install. So don't make any exciting plans tonight.

Anyone got a link to download the patch, so I can waste time at work downloading it, and then just bring it home with me?

Yeah, I noticed. The one Gleja posted keeps timing out, so I'm currently leeching off Horc's post :) 21% done woo hoo!

It was really fast this morning, I got it downloaded and installed before I left for work.
Now that I've said that, it will have changed and I got like, the preliminary version or something.

Fileplanet! :) Got it this morning, no problems.
Also, maintenance has been extended by at least 4 hours - they're currently estimating that the servers will be up around 7:00 pm Central time right now. So don't make any plans for the evening!

I don't know what the deal is, but the blizzard downloader always works perfectly for me. I opened up the 2 ports that it recommends and got the whole patch lickety-split. Maybe it's just because I am teh awesome.

It's not that I have a problem with the Bliz downloader, I would just rather grab the patch while I'm at work and bring it home with me! Much quicker when I get home, and it makes me look busy at work: "Sorry boss, can't get to that right now, my computer is busy downloading some important patch. Can't afford to tie up the band-width with that project right now"

The patch downloaded with the blizz downloader in about 5 min on my laptop and then 5 min on Sapph's after I changed the ports to reflect her ip.
It was going slower in the last couple days but today there seem to be many people with the launcher running and p2p access turned on.

I'm assuming you've had the Bliz downloader enabled over the past week or two, so you've been downloading bits and pieces (out of 490ish meg) for a while. I disabled it from the start, because I've seen poor PC performance in the past with it on.

The background downloader doesn't seem to cause many slowdown issues for me anymore. It really does transfer a lot slower than it used to. You can also configure the background downloader to run at different times too with it now. I just have mine start when I log out of wow now, and it can do it's thing as I head off to bed.

Arright, so I tried using blizzard's thinger to DL the patch, but it was hardly even half done by the time I got in, so now I'm trying to use a mirror. My question is, do I need to delete the wowpatch folder the blizzard updater created, or do I just drop the extracted files into that folder, or make a new folder or what ... :-\

Or it could be because you're on a Mac and Macs are awesome.
