None of us need babysitting but guild chat needs to shape up and I think we all know it and feel similar about it.


Well, no. I don't think we do. Sherica complained about typing a couple of days ago and I responded with a different point of view. And then, suddenly, here's a "type properly" rule.

This is why I would prefer we discuss the 'problems' with guild chat instead of simply posting a list of rules. Then we can find out if we actually do all agree.


For the record, I didn't do the complaining about the typing. I was sticking up for the dude, asking why pick on him when there are other annoying typing habits present as well.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I've never noticed ANY annoying typing habits by anyone in this guild. Seriously. Could someone fill me in?

I agree with Oriole. Like most things I do online, I'm clueless most of time anyways. After I start questing or killing mobs I don't pay attention to guildchat or anything else. I was on whispers with Berg when I was at the bottom of the lake in Zanwhatever the hell that place is called, and didn't notice his last 2 whispers before he logged 'cause I had a shitload of eels on me (sorry Berg).

If 2 or 3 people are having a conversation in gchat with each other - who cares? There could be 3 or 4 conversations going on at one time between different people. If they're not grouped or in different areas and they want to talk, I don't see a problem with that. I can see if someone jumped in a raid room on Vent who was not grouped in whatever instance you're in just to bullshit -I can see that, but gchat is fine the way it is. Having to answer too many whispers gets too damn confusing.

I'll continue to link a green or whatever a mob drops to see if anyone wants it before I mail it of to Val or Gleja for DE. If I say or do anything outta line just whisper me with a /smack. Try typing it in caps too I may notice it that way :P

When two people are talking so much and so fast in guild chat (about something totally unrelated), the legitimate questions of new members and game information gets lost in the flurry of green spam.

Nobody is saying shut the hell up. They are saying be considerate. Is that really such a terrible thing?

I like that people talk a lot in this guild...I enjoy inane chatter. Obviously.

But I may not be in the majority and if I have to use astericks to emphasize words instead of caps, that is totally fine with me.

Okay you guys. Hate to be the forum nazi but I'm moving in a few days and neither one of us have the time to moderate this stuff. So I am BEGGING everyone to either be nice, deep breathe, or just stay off the forums until next week. Please. I let you guys call me ho-bag, so do me this one favor.
