Yes. And I am going to putz around with a station pass for EQ, EQ2, and a few other games.
Well I threw 20 bucks at sony for their station pass. EQ is hard, man.
Your welcome to join Styg and myself on eq2
we are on Antonia Bayle

Scarlet Blade, Korean MMO. Not sure it's all that good but certainly makes me think of VS.

I have a silly, crazy idea: does anyone want to try playing a pen & paper game together? We could use webcams and teamspeak. I've been DMing a Savage World campaing, it's loads of fun!
Here's the website if anyone is interested: http://www.peginc.com/

Money-wise I am not in a position to sink into a real RPG. Here's a possible tool for you though: http://www.fantasygrounds.com/

Awesome! Thanks Mal!
You know that there's really no money needed on your part. The only one who really needs a webcam is me. I can teach you all how to play, there's no need to buy the rulebook, and if you did want to buy the book there's just the one that's needed. Character sheets are free, you can download the pdf on their website. All you really need are dice and teamspeak (or mumble if you prefer). :D

If you mean by using fantasy grounds there's no need for me having books then I guess I could try it. I'm more worried about wanting to buy things. I think you know where I'm coming from!

Oooohhhh. Yes. Yes I understand. :)
Yeah, if we didn't already have all sorts of stuff for playing D&D I would have bought all sorts of stuff for playing Savage Worlds. Lol.
You think about it and I'll see how much more interest this post drums up. Although we don't need a perfect party of five (Like D&D) we would need more then just the two of us.

I'll keep an eye on this. Every so often I eyeball RPG books (D&D, Pathfinder, whatever I see) and suppress an urge to buy them. Mostly because there's no one I know where I live to play with but also because of $$.

Yeah. D&D is pricey! Uber pricey! Savage World is less so. Like I said, you only need the one core rule book.
I fell in love with the system. We had a year subscription to D&D and when it expired we didn't have the money to renew it. So, Twist convinced me to give it a try. It's soo flexible! When I was making a campaign in D&D it was so complicated. All the rules and spells and stuff. With Savage World I was able to create my own universe easily. My own monsters too. You can make anything you want! Literally! I love it! I made sheep that are constantly on fire, and rats that drip water and can melt into puddles. I can't tell you about the other stuff since I don't want to spoil it for Twist. I hope he's not too attached to his character. Heh heh heh.

Kalam and Frenial were telling me that a few people login occasionally. I'm still between games, not sure what I want. I was considering trying LOTRO but it looks like you have to buy several expansions? I haven't installed it yet.

Mostly everyone is between games. I'm playing mostly shooters with another group until the next crop of MMOs: ESO is now only a few months away (Q1 2014).
LOTRO is having a double-XP event right now, I think. We've been meaning to get back into that but RL is busy.

I'm on LOTRO (shutup Bren). Mandofred, Orollion, Havord, and Salton are my production crew.
I made a joke also...my Dad is so old and decrepit that he is immune to necrotizing fasciitis.
I think that just may be the greatest joke ever.

I picked up FFXIV a little while ago, and am playing with Abi, Nemeera and Beardedflame. I've still been WoWing very occasionally, but once I kill Garrosh in LFR, I think that'll be it WoW-wise for me.

How do you deal with the gold sellers? They drove me out of the game.
That and I don't like the AH at all.
And the incredibly horrid names...many racists in FFXIV. Well what can you expect from a PS3 crowd, also.

Yeah I didn't sub once my free month expired. Zirex is playing it, but when all I could do was FATE grind to level to do the story quests, or instance grind and play with idiots, logging in was a chore. There just was no desire to play, I was just logging in cause it was there.
I don't really have any games going right now. Makes for some boring down time sometimes.

I think that I was leveling my fifth tradeskill and seeing how incredibly broken the economy was bad; but I sat in one of the main cities and just watched the gold sellers for about five minutes straight and then I realized that Sqeenix wasn't going to fix it...hell they were probably part of it. So I canceled my account. Easy Peasy decision on that one.
Pokemon X and Animal Crossing: New Leaf are taking up my time. I even bought Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii.
I do play a lot of LOTRO...I bought the three month sub and enjoy it. I still have not advanced the main quest from Bree on purpose. I dig that Turbine (god i never thought i would say this) has reined in any over-zealous imagination; they didn't do a bad job.
For the most part the folks are not assholes...those that are get put in a corner pretty quickly. There is a tale about Fatty Bolger sitting upon Maligner until he stopped complaining about Farm Simulator.
I will play WoW again I am sure of it. I just utterly hate the lore now...it really sucks, heavy-handed nonsense. I am still waiting for Garrosh to water board some panda kids.

I filtered out Shout and Yell and don't see much goldseller spam. And I'm still on my first class so I haven't experienced the dreaded FATE grind. And honestly, most people I've grouped with have been pretty cool, so I'll stick with it for now.
