Wasn't the weather in Calgary today fantastic! Welcome to my city! Hope you enjoyed it :)

Calgary was fun, and I loved Edmonton... until we went downtown. BLEGH. Big cities + car = GOD AWFUL. And I don't know what's up with our karma and food delivery, but they have screwed up something everytime we have food delivered. BUT, now, we are in Fort Nelson, in the YUKON! We pay 70 bucks for a tank of gas and giggle when the cashier says 'You wanna beg?' instead of 'bag'. We get to sleep on Hypnos beds tonight. Sweeeet.

Oh and our hotel has a waterslide. SHWE-EEET!

YAY, we are much closer to having a couple of Alaskians with us! Miss you guys, please keep posting updates.

SO... we've made it mostly through the Rockies and are now in Whitehorse... and I had to think about that for a minute, as these towns and hotels are all kinda running together into one huge blur of... stuff. I'm noticing that the further north we get, the dirtier the towns are, what's up with that? Alberta was sooooo super fucking clean and now... dirt. Everywhere. And GNATS! OMG, we've swallowed about a gallon of gnats... they love to swarm on the dead bug guts on the front of the car. Hee! Poor car, all covered in the yellow and clear carcasses of dead... bug type things. We've been oooh'ing and ahhh'ing over the bears and buffalo IN THE FUCKING ROAD!

First night without A/C last night, in the funkiest little hotel in Watson Lake. But the cafe there served the most GIGANTIC pancakes you'll ever see. I think Mike and I have some sort of altitude sickness, lack of oxygen thing going on... we're crazy sleepy. And god, all of this eating out is giving the whole family some crazy damn flatulence. Just... be glad you aren't in the same hotel as us. Two days away from Anchorage. I am literally praying to every mountain god I can think of that our stuff arrives in town not long after we do. I'm a wee bit burned out on the small town hotels. :)

So, there! Big update this time. Oh and I think we had a buffalo burger... not sure though, it could have been a mixture of any 'canadian meats'. Fun!
