Hey so was there a decision made on this? We're in the key window for cheap airfare without waiting for last minute deals. If I buy airline tickets in the next couple weeks, and it turns out this event isn't happening, poor Fox and Sapph are going to be stuck with a drunken dwarf for a long weekend.
May won.
Fox, Sapph...tell us we're all welcome and it's cool so we can buy our tickets! :)

So are we all going to stay in one hotel? (poor hotel) If we do maybe we can get a group rate.
Hell naw, I'm snugglin' with Fox and Sapph! ;)
THIS EVENT IS ON.
As mentioned before, I have reserved 3 guest suites in my building. If you want me to set one aside for you, please send me a PM. They are much cheaper than hotel rooms in the city.
NOW GO BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS. :D
I will keep the RSVP list above updated with those that confirm with me.

How long does it typically take to drive from Buffalo, NY to Toronto? I was just checking the airfares out, and I can fly from St. Louis to Buffalo for 254$, and do it in 3 hours, (1 stop) where as the fare to Toronto is running 500 - 650$ and minimum of 5 hours....
If there is a ferry from Buffalo to Toronto, that would be really cool, even if it takes longer....

Takes about 2 hours to drive if there isn't traffic.

You can probably do it in 1.5 hours if there is absolutely no traffic. :)

Are those Canadian hours? Cause then you have to figure in the exchange rate.
If anyone is interested in looking up hotels in my area, this one is across the street. But it's a little pricey so I can find other hotels for anyone who is on a budget. Send me a PM for more info!

If the guest suites get crowded out (or if they suck- I need pictures! Though I'm fairly certain its not ghetto) thats where I'll be staying. Go Starwood Points!

Just cause they arrested the manager of the Coffee Time across the street for selling crack out of the store doesn't mean its "crack town" Little Miss High and Mighty.

Hmmn, this looks like it could be fun. The chance to meet you all FTF would be cool.
I will mark the date. To hell with that, I will come!

If I were his lawyer, I'd claim that they mistook his very strong, high-quality brew for crack.

Slow, I can also get airfare into Buffalo for about half the price. Something to consider would be to coordinate our arrival there and share a rental. I'll probably want a car while I'm in town anyway.

Lux and I may consider the Buffalo route as well.

From -one-? On my drive to and from work, I see plumes from -three- nuclear power stations.
For those of you considering the Buffalo route... I suggest carpooling as much as possible because parking is very expensive downtown. I might be able to get some guest parking passes but it is based on availability at the time. And while you are in the city you won't need a car to get around.
But if you do the Buffalo route, I would suggest hitting Niagara Falls for half a day if you have never been there before. Maybe we can even coordinate that into the schedule.

TIMING OF WONDERLAND:
I suggest we go to Wonderland on the Friday if you guys can take the day off. It's open 10am-6pm and will be MUCH less crowded than the weekend because all the kids are still in school. If this is not viable, then we'll suck it up and go on the Saturday.

I think most of us WILL have friday off, but I know I plan on that being my travel day. Probably best to arrive, check in, relax and meet and greet for some dinner before the real shennanigans begin on Saturday.
Travel on Thursday evening? Dunno about availability of evening flights, and thats the cost of another night in a hotel.
Before we get too into the details, do we want to move this into the Members Only section?
