Can we work "Erotic X-Files fan fiction" into the new app somehow?

We have put a lot of thought into the application process lately and feel we need to make a drastic change. We have tried to revamp things to stress to you all that the application is not what is important. Many idiots can fill out a great app. We don't want idiots. Many super-cool people cannot fill out great apps. We want super-cool people. Our new app and process was meant to push us into the direction of spending less time on the apps and more time with the applicants before making any major decisions. As can be seen on recent app threads, everyone seems to still be focusing too much on the app. Also, you can see how little people are paying attention to the new applicants in-game because many of them are still at initiate stage. And they will remain there until people get to know them and will vouch for them.

Our new strategy:

1. We are keeping the same app.

2. We will no longer be asking guildies to screen apps. The Producers will screen them then post for your viewing pleasure and to inform you that we are getting a new initiate. This is for all applicants, not just friends/family. Everyone is welcome to post on the app thread after they have gotten to know the applicant in-game.

For friends/family the Producers will ask the friend/family member their opinion before accepting the applicant and then we will have them post on the thread a small blurb about the applicant.

3. We will be assigning one Caterer to each new initiate and it will be their job to get to know the applicant and make sure the applicant gets to know the guild. They will be asked to post on the applicant's thread things they like or dislike about them.

4. The grinding rep process will remain unchanged. No one will be promoted without achieving friendly with at least 3 guildies (only 1 of which can be their friends/family in the guild). Also, the Producers will no longer be allowed to vouch for any initiates. Our input will strictly be at the beginning, during the screening process.

I think this is an excellent change, and I can't wait to see how well it works out. Thanks, guys. I think this'll work out best for everyone.

Sure, we can do that. And under the new system, that should be the assigned Caterer's job. :D

I think I like this idea of grinding VS rep. Have the initiates put some effort/responsibilty into getting to know us and letting us know about them.

Assigning a caterer is also a great idea.

Thanks to the officers for continuing to work on the app process. I like what y'all have some up with and look forward to seeing it in practice.
