The insane thing is that YOU KNOW THIS. I can only imagine that you know this information because, as is usually the case, she can't keep her YAP shut.

No, shes quiet about it. She actually a fairly normal, well-adjusted girl (totally rare for an army-chick). Its her supervisors that can't keep their yaps shut. Though I'd be pissed too if one of my soldiers had to go home three times a day.

So i just found out today that one of the 3 female soldiers has some very interesting circumstances.... She is the only hot one in the unit, so everybody wants her, but she is happily married. Unfortunately, she and her hubby are having problems concieving a child. She goes to see the Doc, he puts her on some medication, and orders her to GO HOME AND HAVE SEX THREE TIMES A DAY. EVERY DAY. So shes always coming and going from work, and when you DO she her, she's really smiley and chill. But now I just cant get it out of my head, that every time you see her, she just got fucked. Thats insane. I want that doctor.

And you were saying my job sounds like a dream job? No wonder your body armor doesn't fit right.....

I am currently unemployed and living off the man - work is for suckers!

Hey, you could open your own business: Widgets R US and you could sell widget shaped cookies! The R should be backwards but I don't know how to do that.

/bump

This thread was a lot of fun to read through when I first joined the guild. We got quite a crop of new guys here since this has been buried in the forums- I hope they contribute! Likewise with the pictures thread (and I'll bump that when I find it).

I've been told that the picture thread is long gone, since it was shared with those Dominion folk. Bren, why don't you start a new one!

Up until recently I installed Dish network for a living. Since that time I took a pay cut, responsibility cut and only work 5 days a week, I drive around and take pictures of work that other technicians have done so the boss man can yell at them. Way in the past I pondered the meaning of life and came up with a 3 part plan of simplicity that both boggles the mind with its complex relation to the surrounding world and stupifies it with its pure simplicity. For future plans I plan on conquering most of the known world, however my Bay of Pigs and Iran Contra scandal didn't go so well but I beleive the glass is half full (yes, I'm much older than I look, mother was part vampire). So keep your eyes on CNN and be prepared to bow down to my authority in the future. :) Happy Day.

OK, I don't know how I missed this thread the last time... but here goes.

I have an awesome job. I work for the state law enforcement agency in the sunshine state in the computer crimes unit. Ok, so far you think this sounds pretty cool, but wait its only the beginning.

In order to do my job correctly, I have to know what's going on onlline at all times. So, that means I get payed to surf the internet...

OK, there is more to it than that. Me and a couple of others manage a state initiative called SecureFlorida.org and co-administer the site. I also do curriculum development, training, and planning for our C-SAFE: Cyber-Security Awareness for Everyone safety seminars. The website and seminar are designed to teach the public how they can stay safer online.

I have been working on customizing the C-SAFE seminars for training in the private sector as well. After training 10,000 Miami-Dade county employees in one year we are now looking to set up partnerships with Disney, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and several other smaller groups.

In addition to all of that I teach cops how to investigate computer crimes and I co-instruct a introductory computer forensics class.

If thats not enough for you, I am currently working on deploying a series of Cyber-Incident Response Seminar that I'm calling "Operation: Cyberlock (still a working title, but the boss likes it).

So, in a nutshell, the best job in the world... If your in Florida, check out our website and sign up for a class, they're all absolutely free. For those in the IT world keep an eye out for the Incident Response Seminars they should be amazing.

I'm not actually an investigator... so not so much.

I have been trying to break into more of a forensics role, but that has been hindered by how busy I have been with other stuff lately...

Heh - I missed this thread first time around, too.

Like Aro, I, too, am a Web Developer.

The Man (Homreker's big brother) and I run a small IT firm in Central Florida. He handles the Network Engineering side - network deployment, maintenance, security, on down to home user PC support. I run the Web Development side where we create custom content management systems for informational and e-commerce web sites. Basically put, I create web sites a 6th grader could manage. (I have clients whose education ended at that grade level, or at least it seems like it.) We also provide web hosting services (unlimited bandwidth - whatever their pipe can carry) out of a large data center in the area.

So, we handle the whole package. The Man comes in and sets up your office network, gets you the right equipment for your needs, and provides tech support. Then I come in behind him and get your business on the web. My little team handles the entire project - from design to implementation. I, personally, get to go into each office and meet with the client to learn not only what they want, but also determine their skill level so I can plan the project to their needs. Then I do most of the design and write 98% of the code (if you want it done right...). After the site is completed I go back in and train the client and their employees on how to work with their custom site management system.

Upon request we also create print materials, and help offices go paperless with web and PDF form solutions. I also do photo retouching/reconstruction and video/sound editing when a client needs it and I'm not already eyeball deep in code.

My first degree was in Microbiology/Biology, but my chemistry grades were going to keep me out of vet school. So, I kept at college and got a second degree in IT/Technical Writing. Not that the degree helped any - everything I learned was by reading and doing.

It's cool though - I get to work from my home office and hang out with my best friend and dogs all day. :)

Currently I am a Porn Star. The pay is good, the job is alright, the 'benefits' really itch though.

At the end of the month I will be moving and getting a new job.

I will be hauling around dead people in my van, scooping up various innards into a bucket and then consoling the families and try to sell them a prettier box to put in the ground.
