The appropriateness of cake/pie graph is completely wrong. Birthday pie? I mean, really? You can't even stick candles in a pie - they don't stand up. Birthday CAKE! Also, while I will grant that pie is more traditional at Thanksgiving, cake is quite definitely the dessert-du-jour for Christmas. (Stollen. Currant cake. I rest my case.) I have no idea what she's talking about as far as Hallowe'en: you don't eat pie or cake then, you eat thousands of tiny chocolate bars.
No, I think this piece was put together by someone with an obvious bias towards the pie faction and is therefore scientifically unsuitable as a means of providing definitive evidence one way or the other.
