According to a press release:
Beginning this spring, Starbucks Card holders can enjoy up to two hours of free Wi-Fi service per day at Starbucks locations offering Wi-Fi access, while more than 12 million qualifying AT&T broadband and AT&T U-verseSM Internet customers will have unlimited free access to the Wi-Fi service.
Basically, instead of being ripped off by T-Mobile for $20 a month, you can just buy an overpriced coffee and get 2 hours of free access. While I'm not a big Starbucks fan, sometimes they're the only hotspot I can find.

Yeah, I much prefer Panera, but it's good to have other options!

Yeah but. . . Starbucks?
"I'll have a small coffee and a rice krispie square"
"That'll be $124.13"
"Hang on, I've got to go mortgage my house"

Starbucks? Panera? Free WiFi? I can't wait to come back! Stuff like this is what I miss about the States.
On another note, most of my college graduate friends work at Starbucks. I'm totally not exaggerating- like, a lot of them. That was their only choice unless they wanted to go back for a grad degree or go into the military like me. Hooray for the economy!

I loved that day last year, going into a Starbucks on a whim (I'm a closet Frappacino addict...shhh don't tell anyone) only to see an old friend from college. You know the one who mocked everyone for not having the same overdriven focus that they apparently had? Well she is now a Barrista, and don't you forget it, with a Masters degree in Technical Education something or other. She is now working on a Doctorate because she can't get a job... I told her I'd like extra whipcream and chocolatey sprinkles. I even tipped her because her student loans are going to be more than her house payments

Gah...must have Starbucks! I've gone the whole pregnancy without it so far, but tomorrow might be the cracking day thanks to this thread LoL. And of course while I'm there, I might as well see how well that connection works.
