Uvula has 151 badges, and want to make sure I should blow them all on the Scryer's Blade of Focus. Right now i'm using Continuum Blade along with Jewel of Infinite Possibilities. I've pretty much given up on the Curator or Prince ever dropping their spell weapons, the bastards.
If I go with that blade, it will give me:
+12 Stamina
+17 Intellect
-8 Hit Rating
+126 Damage
Obviously, the +damage is VERY appealing. However, I could also get the Shroud of the Lore'nial to replace my Robe of Oblivion for 100 badges, which would give me:
-8 Stamina
+15 Intellect
+24 Spell Hit
+13 Damage
(and +33 Spirit)
The appeal here is of course the spell hit (I don't have any other pieces of Oblivion so that's not an issue). My current Spell Hit is 94 in my "every day" gear, and 127 in my Boss gear. I'm not sure how to balance the 32 Spell Hit difference against the 113 Spell Damage.
Man, that got long-winded. Sorry. But, any advice?

I don't know lork stats, so I have no advice there. But my approach is to always buy the most expensive item first. Then you can say, "Well, at least I'll never have to save up 150 badges again."

The spell damage increase is huge, and will help you a lot. Losing 8 spell hit far outweighs 120 spell damage, and you can recover the spell hit on something else easily enough - even just with gems.

Well, it's more than the 8 hit from my current weapon, it's the tradeoff with the new chestpiece that would give me a bunch more hit. But I'm 99% certain Ill get the weapon, unless someone tells me that's not a good tradeoff. Where's Khros when I need him for validation??

Spell hit would be nice but I agree I think the +spell dmg will help more.
If you were destro spec it might be a little tougher call.

This might be a late chime-in, but at your current level of gear I would assume that every 5 spell hit gives you 1dps and every 4-5 spell damage gives you 1 dps. So in that light, they reward you equally. If you can add 120 spell damage, that is like 60 dps. I doubt you can come even close to adding that much DPS with spell hit.
Get the blade.

Nope, not late, I was waiting for your expert advice! You confirmed my suspicions (and everyone else's advice). Thanks!

Also, you can then enchant the blade, which is supersweet.
Also, no one has mentioned that it looks pretty cool, for a dagger. How cool an item looks is a valid stat, and actually adds to your dps (*note: unverifiable for most meters).
