Currently Needed:
* Raw Cloth:
NO - Silk Cloth
YES - Mageweave Cloth
NO - Runecloth
YES - Netherweave Cloth
YES - Felcloth

* Refining Mats
NO - Arcane Dust (for Imbued Netherweave)
YES - Primal Mana (for Spellcloth)
YES - Primal Fire (for Spellcloth, Shadowcloth)
YES - Primal Shadow (for Shadowcloth)
NO - Primal Life (for Primal Mooncloth)
YES - Primal Water (for Primal Mooncloth)
YES - Soul Essence (for Soulcloth)

Current Volunteers:
Primal Mooncloth - Valmarriz, Homreker, Shear
Spellcloth - Frenial, Slowman, Hopefully
Shadowcloth - Frocked, Araota, Leires, Agnes, Adoni

This thread covers guild contributions of cloth crafting mats and their distribution through the guild vault. Volunteer tailors who can make the end-product refined cloth types (Mooncloth, Primal Mooncloth, Spellcloth, and Shadowcloth) will be greatly appreciated.

Here’s how this works:

1. A supply of raw cloth and bolts (silk and above) will be available in the last tab of the guild vault (Craft Heaven) for tailoring (and bandages, if you get hard up for cloth and have an instance run in 10 minutes). Please: 1) do take the cloth or bolts whenever you need it – that’s what it’s there for; 2) don’t sell it for cash :); 3) don’t put other things in the ‘cloth slots.’ Check the “Info” page for that vault tab if you’re unclear on which slots are for cloth.

2. Please send any donations of mats (raw cloth and bolts) you’d like to contribute to VSCloth or put it in the guild vault (VSCloth will withdraw/move as needed). What we’re currently low on will be indicated with a “YES” beside it in the “Currently Needed” list, above. Note: Excess bolts of lesser cloth types than netherweave will be returned once we’re at capacity for that bolt type. Please don’t send linen or wool.

3. As raw cloth and bolts are depleted, VSCloth will replenish the vault from her reserves. (It's like the ice-maker in your freezer! It's always there!)

4. VSCloth will send raw materials for the refined cloth types (see above) to the volunteer tailors of the appropriate specialties. When a tailor has a cooldown available that they want to donate to the guild, they’ll transmute the mats and send them back to VSCloth. VSCloth will then send another set of materials to start the cycle again. The reason for sending a set of materials for one refinement process at a time is so the tailors don’t have to keep track of “what came from the guild and what’s my loot.”

5. Volunteer tailors – this is not a request to burn all your cooldowns by refining cloth for the guild. :) This is for “when you have a cooldown that you’re not using for anything else that night.” So when VSCloth sends a set of mats, it can sit in a bag or bank until you get around to it. When you send back the finished product, VSCloth will send another set to wait until you’ve got another cooldown available that you want to donate to the guild.

6. As we accumulate stacks of the refined cloth types, plus stacks of Bolt of Soulcloth, they will be placed in the "Special Items" tab of the guild vault. If you need those mats for a tailoring job, ask an officer for them. This is not limited to tailors – if you’re a non-tailor clothie or need new bags, hit an officer up for the cloth in the vault. The other mats (thread, etc.) are your own problem. ;)

That’s how it works. Feedback, comments, suggestions, and MASSIVE FREAKIN’ PILES OF CLOTH are welcome.

I realize that this will shock you all, but I'm a hoarder. Pack rat. A poor sod with an inability to throw anything away ("but I might *need* that someday!") who plays a game with a massive gathering/crafting system. Pity me.

So you'll understand that when some folks recently mentioned that they didn't know what to do with piles of Netherweave Cloth they kept collecting, I was ... distressed.

"That stuff could be made into bandages and bolts," I muttered.

"And I've already got a ton of Arcane Dust for Imbued Netherweave, but the trash greens keep on coming!" I fumed.

"And for Pete's sake, THERE MIGHT BE A COOLDOWNS GOING TO WASTE AS WE SPEAK! AAAAUUUUGGGHH!!!!"

...

I had to retreat to my happy place for a while to recover.

But of course, we've got rising tailors who need raw materials to work with. (Pssst... go send Charchick some!)

And some of us occasionally level alts who need mats for those nifty epic patterns. (Give Linn some lovin'.)

And god knows some of us chew through bandages like nobody's business.

So with that, I offer Shear's services as sweat shop overse... uhm... "volunteer coordinator" for storing cloth mats and funneling the various raw materials (bolts, primals, etc.) to folks who can turn it into prettier stuff like Spellcloth and Shadowcloth and such. (And once the storage is full, funneling the excess to our lovely officers to sell on the AH and bank the proceeds.)

If you're a tailor and would like to volunteer your unused cooldowns for the cause, or if you just can't bear the thought of vendoring another full stack of netherweave for *deep breath* 1g60s *choke* and would like to funnel the occasional stack into the guild's coffers, step forward! (VSCloth appears to have been retired, so I revived a toon with that name as a placeholder in case you folks think this is worth doing.)

Or, in the alternative, if I'm the only one here with hoarding issues, I'll just get Agnes to delete this thread and I'll go back to my OCD flower-picking and mooncloth-making. In any event, thanks for reading. :)

Shaerl - Feel free to grab one of the officers when online and take the cloth-type mats from the vault. That sounded dirty.

For us non-tailoring types, can you list the main mats you will be collecting? I'll have to go through my bank alts and see what I've got for you but I'm really not sure what's useful and what's crap.

Spring Cleaning!

Puddin' pop, you have my full support.

Val is PMC spec, so I can help make mooncloth.

Homreker is also PMC spec, and I rarely end up having the motes to use the cooldown... so they are yours when they're up.

Copernicus is a tailor and is at about 365 atm. Although I can make 1 of all the specialty cloths, I don't think I can specialize until...lvl 65? I have been using up most of the cloth from my other toons to make bags for all my damn alts. :)

BUT, if I can help in any way please let me know.

OK, after a bit of working out the details with the officers (and watching stuff get shuffled around the vault tabs with reckless abandon!), the OP has been updated.

Ridiculously large donations of cloth are welcome, and VSCloth is open for bidness! :D

You're welcome to Frenial and Frocked's cooldowns when you like. Frenial's spellcloth, Frocked is shadow cloth.

Thanks for taking this on, Shaerl. I *just* got my tailoring up to 375 and am shadowcloth specced. I'm working on getting my Frozen Shadoweave set together, but once I'm done with that, all my cooldowns are belong to you.

Yay! More tailors to abuse at the looms! :D

Thanks to those who're funneling cloth our way. What we could really use are the other mats for the refined cloth types. If anyone has spare motes in their inventory they don't want to bother stacking or vendoring, VSCloth will be happy to take 'em off your hands.

(And how hard am I kicking myself that I didn't hang onto those eleventy-billion Primal Shadow that I accumulated because they dropped off demons when TBC debuted...? *sigh*)

Which motes do you need? And what other mats?

I have no idea what these things take.

I may be able to move some items from another tab.

Fox, we shall need...mana motes, shadow motes, fire motes...other than that, I'm not sure (don't know what all is needed for Primal Mooncloth).

Primal mooncloth needs a primal life and a primal water. (Alchemists take note: two primal earth can be transmuted to the needed primals for mooncloth in two days.)
