I'm already on a 2v2 team with Khros but I'd like to play on 3v3 or 5v5. I know some others have expressed interest, so I thought I would start a thread and see how many sign ups we get.
We can then plan from there.
P.S. I have PVP healing gear and DPS gear.

We may want to reorganize the VS arena teams with the news of how season four points will be handled. We may want an actual competitive team and a simple welfare farming team.
We should turn this into a "who wants to arena at all" thread and see who wants to compete, and who just wants to farm. Start forming teams based on that.
Raps = Compete
Nak = Farm and provide lawls

That is a great idea. Heck could be on the farm team and JR on the competitive one. I have more resilience on Heck but JR does so much more damage. I almost have enough points for another piece for JR. It will be interesting to see what the stats on the season 4 pieces are.

honestly i would not mind giving it a shot. I have been running battle grounds for a few weeks. I can try getting my bear ass handed to me in arena.

I might respec Heck to do better in pvp/arena but I wouldn't do that on JR.

I think I would like to try out arena with Gothica. I would be happy to start on the "Farm" team to see how I like it, though.

ROB HAS SKILLZ.
By "farm" team...is that a euphemism for "uncoordinated buffoon"? If so, I might be tempted to put Cord in there, depending on the night and the time involved.

The VS arena team I'm currently (VS Chainsaw Massacre) usually runs our weekly arena matches from 7:30-8:30 server on Monday nights.
To receive points for the week a team must run 10 matches. Each member must run at least a third of them... or a minimum of 3 per each toon.
So the farm team would probably only run for one hour a week total... less for each individual since they only need three matches.
The competitive team would probably want to do more matches each week... so that schedule would be a bit heavier. That would be decided once teams are formed and everyone has a chance to input their thoughts/desires/availability.

Pepinty needs a welfare team, and I think Hammer could be part of a competative team. Pepinty is fury at the moment, but when he is purple enough I intend to take him protection again.

Kharsian is already on a 2v2 team, but Kharsian and Dread are both free for a 3v3 or 5v5. Haven't done a lot of PvP with Dread, so I would probably opt for Kharsian most of the time.

Yea I am not sure I will be doing much more Arena's when Season 4 comes out. Don't see the point if all I can get is gloves and offhand.
I never wanted to gear and spec my guys specifically for PVP and give the tight restrictions and level of competition in Arena's (and it will only get harder with the new rules) I will probably stop doing them when Season 4 comes out. We will see.

So are we gonna have tournaments and drills within the guild to see who makes the competitive team? Like Spring Training or two-a-days? I would like to participate. Probably with Rock, though. I don't think I can heal a 5-man on the druid... unless we have another healer, and i just run around in circles in travel form healing myself to serve as a distraction while the rest of the group mows them down one by one. Anyways, I wouldn't mind being competitive to go for the s4 gear (and of course... the fame), but I'm not sure if I can keep up with some of the better pvpers in the guild. Sign me up for pre-season workouts, and we'll go from there.

Demon makes a good point. When S4 comes out, the personal rating requirements will be higher then S3. And the S3 requirements are not dropping too much (if at all).
To be really competitive in arena and get those high ratings, we would really need to focus on PvP, spec for it, and practice it.
Personally... I'm not enough of a fan of PvP to put that much effort into it. I'd rather raid and collect PvE gear any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
A true gut check on how much effort one is will to put into being "competitive" should be done. In the end, I'm not sure I'm willing to put in that amount of effort into a style of gaming I don't care for to begin with.
Besides... PvP gear is only a good upgrade to PvE gear if you have pre T4 PvE gear. With us almost done with T4 content and (hopefully) moving into T5... PvP gear for PvE is less then useless.

If people are loosing interest because of the changes maybe we have 1 team of 5v5 with our mains and no alts. I don't want to respec JR but there are still lots of Arena pieces that are still upgrades. As soon as a pve item drops that is better I will take it but until then I want to get the best upgrades I can. Heck might just drift into oblivion since for the past few months I only really played him for Arena. Even a full set of Season 3 gear on Heck would be awesome and the few items from Season 4 that don't have ratings.
Teams with a pally seem to do really good with that damn bubble. So...Maybe Pally healer, some kind of hybrid healer/dps, and then 3 dps. Shamans are really nice also with the chain healing and they can do dps. Not really sure what the perfect makeup is.
Aren't they just going to reset our rating like they did last time when they started season 3?? We can just start practicing now and if it doesn't work with whatever group makeup we decide on we can just change it.

I'd love to be in a competitive team for 3v3 or 5v5.
The spring training ideas sounds great.

2v2 is available now too :P
