Seriously, there was one thing that Blizzard could do to make WotLK exciting. And it was this

"All raid dungeons will have both 10-man and 25-man versions"

http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/05/09/dungeons-and-raids-in-wrath-of-the-lich-king/

This is so awesome.

What isn't clear is whether this only applies to the new content or the existing as well.

Either way, it's awesome.

I would rock me some heroic Deadmines...

Blizz doesn't tend to revisit old content, so I think this will be new stuff only.

I am a big fan of these changes. Definitely a good step towards allowing casual guilds to see full end game content.

word
speaking of old content, though, i wonder if this will apply to the retrofitted naxx? i can't wrap my head around 10-man naxxramas

Well I don't see why it would apply to others and NOT Naxx. I'm looking forward to seeing that place.

Nice, this would make all raids a lot more easily accessible for everyone. Even if drops are not as good in 10 man at least majority of the player will be able to see the content.

Thumbs up definitively.

Some more details on the 10/25 thing.

http://wow.curse.com/articles/details/9636/

"The goal with the 10 and 25 thing is not that we want to have sort of easy mode and that's 10, and then hard mode and that's 25. We really do just want to have two separate, clear progressions. And even within those we want to have easy 10 and 25 raids, and then medium 10 and 25, and hard 10 and 25; we want to have progression through those."

Naxx is the intro 10/25. "So Naxx will be pretty accessible in both the 10 and the 25 man versions. And then later on as we get deep into Ulduar and some of the deeper raid dungeons after that, that's when it'll start to get crazy again."

Yea , having 1hr five mans will be nice too so that getting the 5 mans done is not like trying to book Kara or something.

There are one hour five mans now. Ramparts, Blood Furnace and Steamvault come to mind - they were that way at the start. If you're suitably geared, Underbog and Slave Pens come pretty close too.

Notice how they use the words "dying" and "killed" for Zul'Jin and Illidan, but the words "defeat" and "fight" for Arthas.

They're totally redeeming him.

Of course they are. It's ARTHAS.

Well, they were real coy about Illidan before TBC as well.

However, we won't see Arthas as soon as we saw Illidan. The Arthas raid will be the last one patched into LK, apparently.

Jaina should at least get to kick him in the junk.

I would totally approve that, if you redeem Arthas and then Jaina kicks him in the package all WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR DAMAGE, YOU SPOILED LITTLE RICH BOY?

I mean, come on, Tyrande got to tell Illidan he was a baby-strangling psycho TO HIS FACE, all Jaina got to say to Arthas was that perhaps killing many innocent peasants was a bad idea.

KICK HIM IN THE JUNK JAINA. KICK HIM SO HARD HIS GRANDFATHER FEELS IT.

Might I be allowed to compliment you on this wonderful post? Pils gives two thumbs up.

My WoWLore was tainted after I unknowingly accepted the tutelege of an insane poached bluefish addict.

Maybe this'll make you feel better, Ing.

"The Arthas storyline will play out through the patches as well. So Arthas doesn't die in shipping Wrath of the Lich King. Arthas will die in a content patch."

Emphasis mine.

My ultimate dream would totally be for Jaina to kick Arthas in the junk so hard it killed him.

Seriously though, thank you Gleja, I feel much better. <3

I heard they might be adding a Strat instance to the CoT array of goodies. Strat, around the time prior to the plague outbreak.

Sorry don't have a link =(

Yup... Culling of Stratholme. Sounds like a fun instance... but I've loved all the story-line based CoT instances.
