With a decently geared group, both SP and UB can be done in about an hour each (but that's flying though with close to zero downtime). That's 7 badges and about 4400 rep (if you fully clear). So I say you do both!

You can also speed run regular SV for some good rep in a short amount of time. We had it to around 1hr a run. Rise-repeat.

Well there you go... 11 badges and about 8k in rep in 3-4 hours. Granted, it's not a 22 badge 3-4 hour Kara run. However, 8k in rep is nothing to sneeze at.

Edit: Oh... you said "regular" SV. My bad. But even H-SV isn't more then 1.5-2 hours if you skip all non-essential mobs.

Yea was just offering up an non-heroic solution in case the group mix wasn't right to handle the added difficulty.

SV is pretty easy and the rep is not bad.

Yea I need CE rep but it would be nice to collect some badges also. But without the right group makeup/gear it might be better to stick with regular runs. I dont want to have a wipe fest trying to get the rep....
