When the game comes back up can anyone confirm if the new patch also marks the start of Season 4 for the Arenas?
I know they mentioned in the past 2.4.2 may come out before Season 4 does.
Apparently 2.4.2 is live today.

I know Blizz has said a few times that they would give a 2-3 week warning before the new season. So I don't think it'll be today.
However, sometimes Blizz says a lot of things that aren't strictly true. So...

Well they got rid of the change to riding speed trinkets. But the polymorph change that's going to make Aran harder went through.

The riding speed trinket thing was never an announced change - it was something someone had discovered by poking through various game data files. Just 'cause it's in the data files doesn't mean it'll necessarily show up in live code. :)
The Aran change is gonna be a bit of a pain, but it looks like they've changed the trigger for his polymorph too. It used to be at about 20% mana - it now looks like he'll only stop to drink when he gets to 0 mana, so it makes it a bit more predictable and gives a wider margin for getting him down.

Yea I think we can live with 0 mana, as long as that is now a fixed trigger. In the past he has been a little flakey at times when he did it.

Oddly, when fighting Aran last night he polymorphed us and we got our mana back... not sure if he simply hasn't complied with the new rule yet, or if that is going to be specific to that fight.
Also, it seemed he polymorphed before he got all the way to 0mana.

Ya. He did that both times we've been in there since the patch.
He used to always polymorph at 20%. Then for a while it was always at 0%. Now I think it's randomly somewhere in that basic vicinity.
