Who uses this site for gear advice, and what do you think of it? I have been checking it out for advice on Uvula, and before I start messing with my gear sets, wanted people's impressions. Some of its rankings surprised me.

I use it to see what gear is out there, but I don't like how it calculates gears of the stat input. I prefer something that can run the numbers off your actual gear and compare it to other items. The spreadsheets developed by individuals for the classes are infinitely better. The one for my rogue will pull my gear from armory and then load into the spreadsheet. You can usually find one for each class over at elitistjerks.com. http://elitistjerks.com/f31/ is the class mechanics forum that usually carries a lot of discussion on these things.

Also, please use great caution in downloading spreadsheets from teh webs. Ensure they come from a well known/trusted site and have a lot of feedback. Also be sure to have your anti-virus up to date.

It's not a bad site for looking at gear but it's important to know the numbers for yourself and how they would effect your class.

It does not handle heavily mixed spec's very well. But it is still good to get any idea for gear and where it can be found.

I use it as a guide and compare that to some common sense. It can't calculate everything so you have to identify what it might be missing.

I used it a good bit for my DPS set and I was in general pretty happy with it. But then I switched over to using Rawr and I highly recommend it!!! And Rawr does support Warlocks.

EDIT: Here is a SS of Rawr with Uvula loaded from the armory:

I love Rawr and have been using it for ages. It's great to play around with gear to see how it affects stats.

If your class is supported by Rawr and you have a Windows box, I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I'm one of those mac people, so I can't use Rawr, but it does look great!
