Much like the Headless Horseman in SM, we will be heading to Slave pens to kill Ahune, the Frost Lord
Drops:
Frostscythe of Lord Ahune
Icebound Cloak
Shroud of Winter's Chill
Scorched Stone

That "staff" looks awesome. Need something to go with it though.... Oh, what I wouldn't give for a holocaust cloak. :)

The Headless Horseman could only be summoned once a day by a player. A group of five could take turns summoning him though and reset afterwords. Sounds like this one will work in the same way.

I think I'd like that staff for Homreker's DPS set... hehe
but this guy's loot table is pretty week, only 4 drops? Seems that there would be more love than this for more folks... strange, methinks...

I'm tempted to agree.
The Headless Horseman had all kinds of cool vanity drops. Pumpkin helm, Squashling pet, 4 different broom mounts.... not to mention the awesome Plate Helm.
I'm hoping there are drops that weren't released on the test realm. We'll find out tomorrow!

We did the fight earlier and died 3 times. It isn't an easy fight. THe headless horseman was a lot easier. We will have to try again later today.
Mommy wants a new pet.

If its anything like the headless horseman event, a stacked group can bring a lower level along for a chance at the loot. Of course you'd have to ask pretty nicely for someone to do it.

Is everybody tired of this dude? I haven't seen him yet, but I also haven't heard much talk of getting a group together to go.

I'm happy to go after him any time. It's a fun fight. It tends to just be a pick-up type thing.
One pointer, because of the animations used, it's pretty graphics intensive from time to time.

OK cool. It seems like with Horseman there was a pretty constant stream of "Who wants to go," but I haven't heard much discussion with this one.
Is it laggier than the stairs in Kara?

On normal it took us about an hour to clear up to him and summon and beat him 5 times.
The enchant dropped once and I didn't get it.... I'd go back.

Nyah nyah, the wussy enchanter got it! Nyah nyah!
We had a blast killing him last night. I'll go back to rock the heals any time, or take Elath, Devre, or Aessell for more chances to summon.
You do not need to do any preliminary quests to summon him -- I thought you did, but you do not. You just need loads of DPS.

Start said stream on gchat. :)
Yes. But only at the very end. Other than that, it's about as laggy as the stairs. Illhoof might be a better comparison. You have a bunch of little spawns running around and a ton of AoE going off.
