The wife and I have been with the guild for around six months now and I have to admit I’ve never met any of the Memphis folks.

For a while now I’ve been considering trying to put together something. So I figured I’d ask and see if there is any interest in hanging out one evening... A, "Get to know your local guildies" kind of thing.

Yes! A Memphis VS night! Was thinking maybe we could meet somewhere for dinner or something.

(I too have been seeing only a thermometer on fire for several days. Now that it's dipped back down to double-digits I am seeing Mr. Mini-Thundercloud.)

So, in our great move to Kansas, Arachne and I will be driving through Memphis around lunch time on August 10th.

I have this obsession with collecting magnets from Hard Rock Cafe's around the world (I think I have about 25 now and counting) so my plan is to stop there for lunch.

The trip agenda so far is:

Birmingham for dinner and a nights stay on Saturday.
Lunch in Memphis on Sunday.
Dinner in and a nights stay in Columbia, MO unless
We feel like driving after dinner we will stay the night in Kansas City
Then on to Manhattan Monday morning.

We'd love to meet some of you along the way.

Monkeygirl is awesome, I was about to do this exact same thing.

Go ahead and give send me PM with a phone number so I can let you know our arrival time on Sunday. Right now it looks like we will probably get to the Hard Rock between 12-1pm, but I just want to be able to let anyone know if there are any delays from my plans.
