Has anyone else used this Addon Manager?

I normally use the Cosmos Addon Set with a few additional tools (http://www.cosmosui.org/) but keeping things up-to-date can be a pain when Blizzard makes minor changes to the UI in almost every patch. Cosmos has an updater but it only works on the installed mods.

I was looking for something to help keep everything current and I ran into this through a search.

Also I was hoping for something that would allow me to add, test and delete stuff without having to track everything manually.

Another issue is that I don't use everything in the Cosmos set and I wanted a clean way to delete unneeded items (without breaking what I was using)--keeping track of dependencies is a pain.

This manager allows you to update at will, manage what is installed and tells you if you are about to delete a mod that may break something you are using.

After a few days of tweaking I have my installed mods down to what I'm actually using. No more worried about what is enabled or disabled (you still have to do that in the game UI).

I've added and deleted several mod packages as I've tested a few items that looked promising. I've kept a few but deleted the rest--all through this tool.

If anyone else is using this I'd appreciate your inputs.

I use WoWMatrix regularly. It's awesome, and what's even better about it is that it runs on Mac.

I was just introduced to this Friday of last week. I haven't had time to fully test the adding and removing stuff, but so far its great for updating. I'm really really happy with it.

Before I was using Cosmos and WowAce updaters and then manually updating other things and now its a one stop shop, very convenient!

Yup, now you know why I need something like WowMatrix. Keeping these up to date was a real pain. And yes, patch day is always fun. ;)

Most of these addons are only active when needed but I still run with about 64Mb of mods in the background.

But still, I am always looking for something different and test out new mods all the time.

Considering I've been playing WoW for a few years and adding mods here and there I'm actually amazed on how short the list really is. Plus, after I installed WowMatrix I was able to delete over 30 addons.

MazzleUI is an awesome collection off addons and a complete UI replacement. I just couldn't get used to it. So I returned to a much more "simpler" selection.

Even so, if anyone has a recommendation for an addon I don't have I'd be interesting in hearing about it. :drool:

Question: why Atlas AND AlphaMap? Also, I personally find FishingAce, Parrot, and FuBar vastly superior to FishingBuddy, sct, and TitanPanel. I support Pitbull over all other unitframes, too, but I know that one's an acquired taste, and xperl users can get pretty violent about it. XD Chinchilla, Squeenix, and SimpleMinimap are also all excellent minimap replacements (I use the former). Quartz is absolutely the best castbar replacement ever.

I use Mazzle as my base, I dig the way it comes with group layouts preconfigured.

The biggest gripe I have is that it depends on older/outdated versions of some mods and updating the mods totally borks the UI.

I'm with her on FuBar v. Titan, but I disagree on Pitbull. agUnitFrames rocks my socks -- Pitbull is a bitch to configure and even when you get it configured, it looks like crap. ag is easy and clean.

I've used FuBar before and remember that it was easy to use and setup so I swapped it out with Titan. I'll have to play around with Fu as it has more plug-ins that Titan has (which is why I originally with with Titan).

I also replaced SCT with Parrot--different but I do like the output better. The combat text doesn't get in the way of killing things.

Yes, I tend to over kill how I think about things and since I have a distinct way I like to level (mostly solo until 60) I like knowing how to get from point A to point B. Turns out that I can plan something to death and like it...
