I understand that this thread will probably die a horrible death; but as I dig pain, I'm gonna post it anyway.

Would there be any interest in weekly COLLEGE football pool; 10 games pick'em, (pointspread will be used) and a two game final score tiebreaker?

Picks would need to be made before the Thursday night game.

I was thinking a 50 gp weekly buy in...we could go higher if wanted.

OK...we will include the Universite de Montreal flying Poutines in the pool also.

If any were scared off by the word pointspread...dont be...it is pathetically easy to learn.

Hell, Beam could even learn and he is a piehead.

I am reporting you to the authorities for setting up an illegal gambling operation.

Pieboy...the authorities are more corrupt than any gambling operation...trust me, I work for and with them.

Pie bootleggers they are...selling and receiving low grade pies from shady sources.

Homreker <now homemaker> laundered the pies through his "friends" all over the state.

Guerrior is on the cake side; so he is above reproach

Dind is a fence sitter; so has garnered shifty looks from both factions.

Make sure that the pies you receive from Homreker are filled with what he advertises...because we all know what they fill up the car upholstery with in Tijuana...and it aint from Michoacan...

10000 people in this guild and two of us follow College Football...that is about what I expected.

Now if someone would kindly explain to this NATIVE FLORIDIAN <no snow EVAR!> how the hell to set up a hockey pool, I will happily do that. Gooning it up does not apply.

I suppose you bet bloody crullers.

BTW, Bren...your Dran priest in the turban bears a strong resemblence to John Holmes (who also wears that same turban) Coincidence? I think not.

It also figures that the other fan is a dirty FLORIDIAN. You are either a 'noles fan, and then I'm sorry for you, or you are a Gators fan, my hatred for which is checked only by the fact that they do not come from Michigan.

HAHAHA...I am a FSU graduate; but a University of Miami fan. Holla for Da U.

Its a long story full of deceit and villiany; when the present crew of Depends-wearing countrified dottards take a hike, perhaps the Noles will be deemed a worthy football team once again.

To be clear, I'm a buckeye. Miami- I'm over them. I wont get started on how the Browns were ruined by heavily recruiting from that turdhole, but it was sweet to defeat that classless bunch of assclowns in 2002.

Oh...a Browns fan also. One of my best friends is from a place called Andover and you remind me of him; he graduated from FSU with me, he finished in industrial engineering.

God he detests the Hurricanes and Butch Davis. I used to hate the Canes, right up to 1999 when we (fsu) went undefeated and beat VT (mike vick) for the BCS. Bowden should have hung it up at that point; but his monumental ego continues to get in the way, and he has destroyed the program utterly. So now I am the anti-fan until he leaves. But the program here is too caught up in the "southern gentleman" Milieu and does not realize that a football coach is an employee just like everyone else...when they put up a freaking statue of him, I know this place was whacked.

yeah they bought him out for 4 million....he was owed 8. I never liked him though. From the beginning the way he left Alabama, it just rubbed me the wrong way. I am very excited about Mike Sherman. I really think he is going to be able to bring in those big name recruits given his NFL experience. Plus it helps when you call up Brett Favre any time you like. Supposedly before he decided to un-retire he was set to come to an aggie practice to talk to Stephen McGee and Jerrod Johnson. That is always a great recruiting tool to have :D

Ok, before we start working on this thing...one thing which I am not interested in is chest thumping derision of anyone's choice of who they follow...whether it be a "five hundred year old storied institution of academic and athletic godness" or the USF Bulls.

I am way past the need to vent testosterone induced vitriol to prove ones point. Football players and their holier than thou coaches dont give a damn about any of us; so beating ones head on the ground or breaking into profanity-laden hysterics whether they win (which wont buy us a cup of coffee) or lose (which wont prevent us from having to go to work on Monday) is completely unecessary. Now that the ground rules have been set; if one mory person would pony up, I think five people is an acceptable start.
