I'm pretty sure that if you do download the free WoW client that Blizzard will charge you the price of the game once your new account's trial period has ended.

It's $20 for basic client when you activate, then another $20 for the xpac.

I created a new account to play around with it, that triple xp is CRAZY. Played for about 4 hours and got level 14.
