It's about time. Google is full of awesome and, at least to the public eye, is not evil or money hungry or anything. Let them run wild, I say. Hell, let them parse through the National Archive and make it all easy to find crap.
Sure, I could see them creating The Infosphere but that's at least a thousand years away from now.

That's a long comic!
I read the first 10 pages or so. Sounds pretty cool!

Meh. Just what the world needs, another browser.
I hope this flops.
I'm not a Google hater, I just would rather they put their resources into Firefox rather than competing against it.

Yep we need another browser almost as much as we need to eat stale cake.

It's kinda neat actually, using it right now to make this post. It's hardly using any resources at all.

I clicked on this thread and it said it was temporarily unavailable. It was weird. I closed out the tab, opened it backup, and then worked again. My work machine didn't play nice with Chrome but my home machine is working fine with it.
This is the exact error:
"This webpage is not available.
The webpage at http://www.victorious-secret.org/forums/search.php?do=getnew might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
More information on this error
Below is the original error message
Error 320 (net::ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE): Unknown error"
I just keep telling myself that it is beta. It is a nice start.

Just installed it and playing with it. very nice.
Alright, after a full night of use and abuse, I'm wicked impressed with this browser thus far and LOVE some its innovative features! I ran across a couple of bugs and there are a few quirks and new elements that I either A.) don't like or B.) I'm just not used to yet. Rackspace's ticketing application doesn't play too well with it yet but it still works... 90% of the time anyway.
If only it had a built-in ftp client and a few more page right click options... Maybe one day. Hell, the thing has only been released to the public for one day and it's pretty fucking stable. S*thumb up*

anyone else notice that chrome seems to like to make 3 threads in the processor?
I think it makes one per tab.
..meh, now I'm watching it and it never goes below 3 but it definitely adds for new tabs.

It loads all the pages I go to about 1,000 times faster than Firefox or IE or Safari. This makes me glad.
But I bet it would b0rk our CMS so I'm not using it for work.

One thing I found weird. I keep my mozilla with a proxy in it to avoid web filtering and my IE I leave it out to test stuff. If you try to put a proxy in Chrome it opens up with IE Internet settings. So it seems like they run directly on IE and not on its own. Also it is annoying that I can't click New Posts on this website. The incognito window aka Pr0n window is nice.
I tried citrix and it doesn't work. Usually if the citrix client is blocked the website will stay you need to install it. With Chrome it just says no plugin available to display this content. Also I checked where the exe launches from. It isn't in Program files. It is in C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application

I was testing it yesterday and found that some of the usual websites I visit like hulu.com or warcraftmovies.com that it bogged it down immensely. Slower loading and could barely get anything to interact unlike Mozilla which treats those sites just fine. Otherwise, it's not a bad browser at all. I'll just wait until it can handle other stuff. Or it may just be it's built for a stronger computer than mine is and doesn't know how to work with such antiquated stuff like a single processor.
