I fear that Ike isn't going to play nice...hopefully it will come ashore in a relatively unpopulated region in that giant state of yours.
Yeah, I'm betting it is going to end up coming right up betwen SA and Austin. We'll see. We're watching it closely.

I will not answer this question based on the fact that Agnes' version of the KGB put a murloc's head in my bed the last time I responded in an inflammatory manner.

Khros, Kharthis and I are flying to Austin for business for 4 days starting Sunday - right as Ike moves through. Should be interesting :)

I would just be happy if it heads more north. Less wind, rain, etc.
We're worried what it will do SE of San Antonio where we live.

I have a most-of-day meeting tomorrow that I *really* don't want to go to.
Can I borrow your hurricane for a few hours? I'll give it back after 4pm Friday. :)

Yeah my mom is going crazy about it. I think it is a little over dramatic but we shall see.

My favorite quote: "If you do not leave Galveston Island you are facing certain death."
Certain death huh? Just like Gustav was supposed to be "The Storm of the Century" worse then Katrina!

Gustav was worse than Katrina in some ways. The major differences being that, this time, people actually evacuated when they were told to & Gustav fucked up a whole lot more of Louisiana than Katrina or Rita did.

Simmer down class!

SA looks to be completely spared. In fact, we're playing some dnd at Andist and Abia's place tomorrow. On the other hand though, my brothers live near Baytown and they're all bunkered down with boards on the windows. I told them to drive to SA days ago but nope. Hopefully it stays down in cat 2 winds and no tornados decide to drive through their house. My father lives right on the coast in Nausau Bay. He drove 10 miles up the road to stay in some condos away from the water. Yeah, brilliant.

Ike is an ugly mother, that's for sure. All in it's path remember to check in when you can!
I'm not in his path. Where is my rain? :(

my twin brother, who lives in houston working for ExxonMobil, just txt'd to say that he was all right. his apt was directly in the storm's path; he says now it's just a lot of flooding etc.
I talked to all of my family this morning. They're all good. My brother lost part of his fence and some shingles. My dad's house is more than likely flooded from the pics I've seen on CNN. He's stressin' and going to try and get back to it tonight.
I don't know how many of you remember Dark Surge from our CoH days but he lives in Galveston. No word on how his place made out through the night.
